~ El's P.O.V ~
I got out of Hawkins years ago. As soon as I killed the demigorgan and got out of the upside down I ran. I ended up here in my now new home town, Miami Florida. I was found and put up for adoption at 14 and became a part of a lovely family, I now have a mom, dad, a little brother, older sister, and a baby sister. My little brother tommy is 9, he runs around like a mad man but is the sweetest thing ever. My baby sister is 5 month old, she was just born by my mom and is a ball of love who can't stop smiling. Then there's Emily, shes 18...I try so hard to get her to like me but she hates me, she hits me and is very rude, but I don't want to use my powers because I don't want them to know but I see how nice she can be and in the end if something goes wrong I know she had my back. I'm now 16, and go to a public school and have a group of friends and I've had 2 boyfriends but they both broke my heart. To be honest I really haven't thought about Hawkins, sometimes I do though and when I do, I can't help but cry on all the opportunities I've missed out on by leaving. The one thing I try to block out the most is mike, I do love him but it pains me to think of him and what we could have been, so I just pretend he didn't exist and we never happened and Dustin saved me instead and mike wasn't there. Anyways here my name is "El" sort for well nothing, my last name is now hidgens and I live in a nice big house. I go to the beach with my friends almost every afternoon, I love to eat food in general, and I'm all around happy person!

"EL WAKE UP!!" Yelled my moms. I grumbled and got up. I went to my closet and out on a light blue dress that had white stars on the bottom and had spaghetti straps. I put on white flats and grabbed my baby blue fake leather jacket, I draped it over my shoulder then went my my mirror and but on some blush and Mascara. I then ran outside to my car and hopped in.

"Well you looked beautiful today El!" Exclaimed my mom.

"Thanks mom!" I smiled and looked out my window.

"I think it's a bit much. Baby blue isn't you color idiot." Emily growled. I frowned but didn't let it get to me completely. Suddenly I felt tommy tug on my arm.

"I think you look really pretty today el." He smiled and looked back down. Tommy's always been kind hearted. I snuggled him and kissed his forehead.

"Your to kind tommy." I said. He smiled big then turned back around humming. Suddenly the car came to a stop and I hopped out helping tommy out.

"El!" Yelled on of my friends Emma. Emma always comes with me to walk tommy to his class.

"So what's up Em?" I asked.

"Me and the group are going to get milkshakes after school you wanna come." She asked.

"Yeah of course." I smiled. Yes milkshake date with everyone!! Soon we reached Tommy's class.

"Your gonna do great today tommy! I'll bring you home a milkshake to." I said. He smiled and hugged me. He then ran into his class room.

"You such a good big sister." Emma exclaimed. I just laughed and walked to my class. I then felt eyes burning holes in my back so I turned around to find a certain curly hairs boy and a dark skinned one.

"El? Is that you?" They asked in unison shocked.

"Dustin! Lucas!" I Yelled. We stood up and hugged each other as the other kids stared in confusion on how I knew the new kids. They both matured, Lucas still wearing green though. I smiled and sat down as the teacher entered the room. I then turned around and whispered.

"Hey wanna come get milk shakes with me and my friends after school?" I asked excitedly.

"Sure but only if we could bring some of our friends." Lucas laughed. I laughed and nodded.

~time skip~

I sat drinking my milk shake with Lucas, Dustin, em, my friends darla, Jaclyn, and Addison. Dustin and Lucas brought along will and a spunky red haired girl named max. They told me they were gonna invite someone else but the person just was to tired, honestly I am to, suddenly I felt anxiety over come me. I sometimes have really bad anxiety and I don't know why. I stood up and paid for milk shake.

"I'm sorry I have to go ugh....babysit tommy!" I said a little to loud. I said my goodbyes and ran to the flower field. It was only a couple blocks down and it was huge, I lay on the ground and breath in the fresh air. I started running and saw it in the distance. As soon as I got there I didn't care where in the field I went and I dropped to the ground. I didn't realize anyone was next to me until I they spoke.

"Hello." He said. I was startled but kept staring at the sky not knowing who it was. His voice made my heart jump, it was attractive and familiar but I've met a lot of people so I wouldn't doubt I've heard hm before.

"Hey." I said sighing.

"What are you doing here?" He asked. I could tell he hadn't moved to seen me yet because of the relaxation in his voice.

"I just come here sometimes." I said studying the sky's blue color.

"Anxiety?" He asked as though he knew me.

"I guess. You?" I asked. He took a deep breath in then out.

"Sometimes i miss people from my past and need to stop and think." He signed

"I get it." I said look up at the sky.

"Wanna look at eachother on 3" he asked. Why not?

"Ok. 1, 2, 3," i slowly shifted to meet fimiliar brown eyes. His eyes widened at me as his face turned a shade of pink.

"El...?" He almost whispered. Suddenly it all became clear the way he said my name, the way he looked at me.

It was my Ex jacob. I rolled my eyes.

"Im guessing you want me back thats whats with the whole "people from the past" talk." I sai crossing my arms.

"Come on El i mi-" suddenly he was cut off.

"Jacob you retard lets go." Said the most attractive voice I've ever heard in my life. I felt my heart race my cheeks heat up. I was dumbfounded and jacob could tell.

"Go away mike!" He yelled. Mike? Thats his name..well...then. Suddenly a tall boy was infront of me and jacob. His cheek bones where high and amazing, his lips were small but plump, he had freackles every where but not to many that he was completly covered, and his eyes were warm and loving. Familiar.. i whispered to jacob.

"Whats his last name?" I asked.

"Wheeler, mike wheeler. Why?" He said. My heart sped up a i felt my eyes get hot. Mike lookedat me with pink cheeks but didnt understand who i was. I stood up and walked right up to him.

"Nice to see you again mike." I said with a small smile. He looked confused...

"Im so sorry but who are you." He asked. My heart broke a little but i needed to find a way to show him. I looked around the see jacob just sitting there. Perfect i stared at mike and he looked ever more confused. I focused every thing and suddenly jacob was yelling. Mike looked up to see jacob in the air, and his eyes widened. I out jacob down as my nose started to bleed.

"Shit" i mumbled trying to whipe it off. Suddenly i felt arms wrap around me tightly.

"El, ih my god i missed you so munc you have no idea i re-"

"Get your hand off my girl!" Jacob yelled.

"I'm not you girl Jacob oh my gosh." I rolled my eyes and looked into mikes, and there i stood lost in his eyes. This was a new beginning. A new start of us, and I knew that the spark I got whenever I was around the boy who saved my life would never go away.
