"Get in the car," I had packed up our towels and packed them away. I was still wearing my bikini but had put my shorts on over the bottoms. I got into the drivers seat and started the car. I set off driving home. We sat in silence all the way home, no music, no talking. I stopped in the apartment car park.
"Get out," I told Lea.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I have some more places to go to," I told her, locking the doors as soon as she had got out. She leaned down to the window but I drove off before she could say anything. When I was far enough away from the buildings that Lea could no longer see me I turned the stereo on. Jake Bugg was playing so I turned it up and sang along. I drove fast down the highway with the windows down and the music loud.
"what doesn't kill ya, what doesn't hurt!" I sang. I drove further into the Hollywood hills and stopped at my favourite pull out. I turned the music off and got out of the car. The road was quiet because there was nothing up here apart from the pull out and a load of trees. I walked right over to the fence and leaned out, looking across the city of angels. I could see the Hollywood sign, Universal studios, the Griffith observatory, Disney world, the baseball stadium and hundreds off ant sized people getting on with their day. I climbed over the fence and stood on the ledge. Half a metre of grass between me and the huge drop to the city. The atmosphere was silent, but a nice silent. I sat down with my back against the fence and jumped when a voice shouted to me.
"Excuse me love, could you tell us where we are?" the voice shouted. I turned around to see Louis Tomlinson hanging out of the car window. You have got to be kidding me.
