I rolled out of bed and walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast. I saw Lea sitting on the rug with Twitter open on her laptop.
"Hey," I greeted. She waved half heartedly.
"What you doing?" I asked.
"Twitter."
"I can see that, but what are you doing on twitter?"
"Tweeting." I gave up and looked for myself. She was frantically spamming her tl with concert tweets. I groaned and poured myself a bowl of cereal. Lea climbed up off the floor and handed me a piece of paper. It was a concert plan.
"The concert starts at six so we should set off around 4 to give us time to get there and get some food and get in line. So we'll start to get ready at 12 or 1, that should give us enough time because we need to be setting off at four on the dot. So, it's 10:40 now so you finish your cereal then we'll hang out a little, have some lunch and then get ready," Lea showed me her plan.
"Sounds good," I smiled. We followed the plan exactly. I finished my breakfast then went to my room and went on tumblr for a while before getting changed into comfy leggings and a flannel. Me and Lea walked down the street to the little tea house on the corner for lunch where we ate grilled cheese and salad and drank signature green tea. It was a relaxed day until we realised it was almost 2 and we were an hour behind our plan. We rushed up the hill and climbed the stairs to our apartment because the lift was taking forever to arrive. Lea locked herself in her room after collecting her outfit from my closet. I got ready in an hour and a half and sat outside Lea's door for thirty minutes for the entertainment value. Every so often there was a clatter and a scream and a sigh of annoyance and she would pop her head out of the door with her face covered and her hair tied messily on top of her head to check the time. At 3:57 she came running out.
"GO GO GO!" she screaming picking my car keys off the counter and throwing them to me. We ran down the hall and down the stairs to the car park. We jumped inside and set off at exactly 3:59, one minute early.
"I have no idea how we managed that!" I sighed, relieved as we pulled into the arena parking lot at 4:20. We high fived and walked into the arena. We bought a portion of mcdonalds fries to share and got in line for the concert. We got to the front and I handed the worker our tickets because Lea was shaking to much to do anything than take a couple steps forward every few minutes.
"Don't cry, you're mascara will smudge," I told my best friend as we entered the arena and found our seats.
"I came prepared, waterproof," and with that she broke into sobs.
"Lea, they haven't even come on stage yet honestly!"
"Lucy I don't think you understand. They're my world," she gasped between sobs. I giggled at her and looked at the stage. We were fairly close to the front and soon the concert started and the boys came on stage. I sang along to the few chorus' that I knew and soon enough found myself screaming and dancing along with Lea. I didn't cry or over react but I can honestly say I had one of the best times I've ever had. Harry kept looking over in our direction and every time Lea screamed and waved. Once I even found myself waving to him and he waved back. After the show as we were walking out I felt a tap on my arm. A burly man was standing over us wearing a Where We Are tour t shirt and ID badge.
"Could you come back here ladies? Management needs a word," he said. Lea looked at me excitedly but I was worried, what had we done wrong? We followed him backstage, walking past the dressing rooms causing squeals from Lea as she tried to look in. I linked my arm with hers for my comfort and her safety. We walked into a big room with a few chairs and a table in.
"Good evening girls," the man I'd seen labelled as Paul Higgins in mine and Lea's conversations said to us.
"Evening," I said while Lea was struggling to breathe never mind make conversation.
"May we talk to you alone?" he asked me. Lea moved closer to me and held my hand.
"Could we take this one to meet the lads so we can have some privacy?" Paul asked a security guard and Lea jumped straight off me and left.
"Take a seat."
"I'm fine."
"Okay then. So we've seen you around the boys a lot lately and Harry has taken quite an interest in you so we were wondering if you would date Mr Styles?"
"A pop star who performs in front of thousands has to get his manager to ask girls out for him. Pathetic," I scoffed.
"Actually it was the management's idea. We'll pay you of course, it's just that with a lot of new artists joining the scene the publicity has been taken off our boys a little and we think a relationship would spice it up a bit."
"No way!"
"A million dollars and you date for two months. Fair deal?" A million for two months with a guy a can't stand. Just two months. It would fly by and we'd only have to be together when the press were around.
"Deal," I agreed and we shook hands before I left. Lea was waiting for me by the backstage door, tears streaming down her cheeks and clutching her phone and various signed goods in her arms.
"What was that about?" she questioned. I told her, leaving her in complete awe.
