Tom Riddle had always been a peculiar child. It seemed everything he did would drive the children and adults at the orphanage away, even the families looking to adopt.
But whatever he did, he couldn't drive Tiranus Draconian away. And he finally got the family he was looking for his entire life. Even if it was just the two of them.
Notes:
Since Tom can't feel love, he should be a rather reserved kid. He shouldn't automatically trust anyone or tell someone all his thoughts. He shouldn't be scared of anyone by any means, but he should appear rather bored and emotionless.
As for Tiranus, the man should be able to understand why Tom appears so, but shouldn't know the real reason. At first he has a hard time bonding with the boy, but after a few years should grow to love him even if it appears that Tom doesn't love him back.
Going back into Tom, he should be rather blunt and unafraid to tell the truth, but still won't tell everyone everything going on with him. Even if he can't love Tiranus, he should still hold a deep respect for the man.
