Lomb village is a place where people love and respect each other . There was a 18 years old boy , Victor Chauke who was so ambitious and just passed matric with a high certificate. He lived with his grandma and his younger sister. They were very poor . Three house away , there lived a rich family . Amongst the the family , there was a beautiful girl by the name Nkateko Maluleke . Many boys tried their luck but failed . This made Victor not to approach because he did not want to lose her. She made it out of matric by a bachelor pass with 2 distinctions. She was accepted at Dry College to study medicine . She even got a bursary to cover all her school costs. As for Victor , his dream of becoming a mechanical engineer seemed to be dead as he was not accepted at any tertiary institution . A week after , Nkateko and her family relocated to Dry town. "My dream is no more and my love is gone , oh my life is a mess " Victor said . Indeed his life was a mess because his granny was now jobless as she used to work as a maid at the Maluleke's house which has now been sold to some greedy whites . They turned the house into a shop . Victor was so down that he even thought of committing suicide . His grandma advised him to go to town to look for a job . The following day , he went to town.
