Midoriya's Misfortune

The Fight

It was just another normal day. Izuku and Shoto were enjoying a quiet, long train ride.

However one thing was running through both boy's minds, how did they end up having to face each other in the Hero vs. Villan training battle.

Flash Back

Todoroki's P.O.V

It was just like every other day. Izuku and I woke up together, sure i did a bit before him but not by much. His emerald eyes fluttered open, a bit groggy and tired, and the first thing he focused on was me.

"Morning Izu." My voice was a bit sore from the intense training we did yesterday day, and boy it was brutal.

*Yawn* a small kitten like yawn was heard from him. 

"Good morning Shou." he smiled a cute and innocent smile and we both laid there staring at each other until we both reluctantly got up to take a shower. Our bodies stink the smell of sweat was still ....present..... from yesterdays "training" so, we decided to take a shower together to wash away the stench and get ourselves ready for another day at school.

I was rinsing the shampoo out of my hair, doing my normal shower routine when I spotted Izu struggling to clean his back. "I'll get your back Izu."

"Thanks Todo." he said sheepishly and slightly flustered.

"Are you still sore from yesterday Izu?" 

"Yeah, I got roughed up a bit didn't I?"

"I'm sorry Izu, I shouldn't have been so rough" I felt myself frowning as I was tracing over his bruised back, while still macking sure I was cleaning it.

"No todo don't say that! it wasn't your fault! I know you would never want to hurt me, it just stupid Endeavor who makes you do it."

I knew what he was saying was right, but I just couldn't help but blame myself over what happened to Izuku and why he's always getting hurt. I always feel like it's my fault.

I felt him lift up my face gently cupping my cheeks " Hey come on Shou, don't look so sad. I'll go make us some breakfast ok?"

"Yeah alright" I felt a small smile creep up on me. 

Izuku left and I quickly followed suit. When we got to the kitchen Izkuku quickly started making some eggs and toaste for us. I still had a towel on my hair trying to dry it off as much as I could while Izukus hair was still damp and curly.

Thankfully we were alone in the kitchen. Either everyone was gone or still asleep. 

"Here are your eggs and toast todo." he handed me a plate with sunnyside eggs and buttered toast, they looked delicious. "Thanks Izu."

"You're welcome!" he said and shoved the toast in his mouth.

We had gotten off the train and wear walking towards U.A. Izu seemed absent-minded and wouldn't look up from the ground

"Look up or you're going to trip Izu." I said jokingly but still felt a bit concerned.

"Trust me I won't." his voice sounded so monotone but he quickly looked up and seemed to have snapped out of it. he just looked at me and smiled like what he said didn't sound weird.
