I sat by his bed side all night. I know comas last a long time, but I couldn't sleep, maybe he could wake up. If he did wake up and I was asleep what would happen? His face looked blank. No smile plastered on it like usual, just blank and still.
"Please..." I said softly.
My hand still wrapped around his. I squeezed but he didn't squeeze back.
Tears rolled down my cheeks. I couldn't help but cry. I was scared that I'd never see his smile again, it hear his voice.

At 6:30 in the morning a nurse walked in and told me I needed to go home, his family was here.
"I am his family!" I argued
He shook his head. "Please don't make this difficult ma'am." He begged.
I let go of his hand and blinked back my tears. "Okay.." I said and turned away from him.
As I walked out of the room I saw his parents. They were never around for him, but now they were taking me away from him. It made me so angry. I was his family, because they were NEVER around. I made sure to keep a death stare at them as I walked out. His father stopped me.
"Look Sam. I realize that we aren't around for him a lot, but you don't have the right to treat us like this. He's still OUR son." He scolded.
"Maybe you should be around for him then, instead of just being around for bad things." I said walking away from him.
Did I feel bad for being mean to his father? No. He deserved it. Spencer had an awful, scary childhood because of that man. His father deserved to be treated awfully.

I had walked out to my car and busted into tears. What if he woke up without me around? What if it was like in movies, and he forgot about me? All these thoughts pestered me. Why? Why him!? I didn't move from my parking spot, I just stayed there, staring blankly at the sign in front of me.
They could make me leave his hospital room, but they couldn't make me leave him. I'd be here if anything happened. My eyes started to close, I was so tired. I couldn't help myself, I fell asleep.
