Chapter Twenty-Eight – Craving.
I rush up the steps of the college building the next morning, bumping into Eva who chuckles before steadying me as I apologise. Suddenly, her eyes widen and she takes off her scarf before wrapping it around my neck, pulling my hair forward.
"Oh um, thanks for the scarf but I don't need -"
"You have dark hickeys all over your neck, idiot!" She bursts out laughing when my eyes widen. "I'm helping you."
"W-What, no..." I whisper, stepping closer to a window before pulling away the scarf slightly.
A gasp escapes me when I see dark love bites on one side of my neck. Most of them are large and I immediately assume Kaden had made it so they are visible. Anger and frustration rises within me as I huff and turn back to Eva, smacking her upper arm when I see that she still hasn't stopped cackling like a madwoman.
"Looks like someone got lucky last night." She leans in close to whisper, wiggling her brows playfully.
"Shut. Up." I growl, my cheeks on fire right now as I glance around nervously.
"It's always the quiet ones, isn't it?" She grins widely before it drops when I start to chase her, her laughter ringing in the quiet hallway.
I am going to murder Kaden Reid after college.

I cycle fast down the rough dirt track of the countryside, anger boiling in my veins. As soon as I see Kaden's black Mustang parked to the side, I get off my bike and take off my helmet, throwing them haphazardly on the ground before marching through the gap in the tree line.
This man infuriates me sometimes! I pleaded with him to stop last night and not to leave any marks, trusting him when he promised he wouldn't. Clearly, he lied because the side of my neck and my collarbone were covered in hickeys, you could barely see the colour of my skin underneath.
I rush up the steps and unlock the door. Stepping inside, I immediately notice him taking out a bottle from the fridge. He has his back to me but by the way his muscles tense slightly tells me that he's acknowledged me.
"You stupid, horn dog!" I shout as I walk closer, glaring at the man who is currently staring at me in confusion. "What is this?!"
Kaden grins unashamed as he stares at my neck which is covered in dark hickeys. But when he catches my angry glare directed towards him, he coughs and shrugs innocently.
"You knew I had classes today." I poke his chest, my anger increasing when he looks down at my finger and smirks. "I nearly walked into a lecture with all this on show if Eva hadn't spotted me."
"Luna," He started in a dismissive tone, popping a chip into his mouth. "It wouldn't have been so bad to walk into a lecture without covering up. You're overreacting."
