Chapter 11................

Harry~

"So how was your date last night" Louis asks, stuffing his face full of pancakes. I shrug.

"It was good....." I start.

"Did you do anything" Liam questions.

"NO!!!!!" I shout.  "Besides, I don't even know where his... you know, southern friend, is!!!" Liam smirks.

"Well you obviously did something!!!"

"Yeah. We had a major heated make out session..." Louis starts squealing like a little girl and I can't help but laugh.

"Louis..... CALM DOWN!!!" Liam shouts. Louis sinks back into his seat and goes beet red. Suddenly, Zayn bursts into the door looking out of breath.

"You *Pant* Are *Pant* So *Pant* Busted!!!" He yells, pointing a finger at my chest. "What you you mean" I ask, batting my eyelashes. Zayn sends me a glare.

"You.... have a boyfriend..... that's a....a....." He starts.

"Merman" I suggest.

"YEAH" Zayn shouts. 

"Okay, first of all, you have NO proof of that...... And second of all, if I did have a boyfriend that's a merman, which I'm NOT saying I do...... Why would you care?" Zayn smirks.

"Merfolk would be worth a lot of money....." I gasp.

"Zayn, you've been spending WAAAAAAAY too much time around Paul" Louis states. Zayn scoffs.

"Well, maybe I'm the only one that sees this isn't right! He's not supposed to love a merman!!! Merfolk aren't even supposed to EXIST!!!!!! It's not the way of things!!"

I glare at him. "What the hell happened to the Zayn that was our friend? The cuddly, sensitive one? Not the total dick! What happened to 'love is love?' What the hell happened to you Zayn" I ask. Hurt flashes across Zayn's eyes, but it's gone within a few seconds.

"That Zayn is GONE you hear me? G-O-N-E...GONE!!!!!! I'm tired of being trampled upon like a doormat by everyone!!! And you know what? I am going to make SURE that your boyfriend dies!!!!!!!!! No one can be happy!!!!!!!!! No one deserves to be happy!!!!!!!!!!!"

Tears stream down my face as I push Zayn out the door. I look at Liam and Louis and see that Liam is sobbing into Louis' shoulder. You see, Liam was always the closest to Zayn, and this probably crushed him.

"LiLi, he didn't mean it. He's just a little, how you say......... Riled up" Louis soothes. God, I hope so Lou. I hope he doesn't kill Niall. If he does, I'll kill MYSELF.

Niall~

"Oh, Niall. Come in" The Queen says, motioning me to a comfy looking sea sponge.

"Your highness, what is this about" I ask, trying not to sound rude.

"Well Niall, have you been having relations with a human" She asks. I nearly choke on the water surrounding me.

"N-No...." I stutter.

"Are you sure......" She asks. I nod vigorously.

"Of course I'm sure!! Why on EARTH would I have a relation with those wretched humans?!" Thinking about Louis, Liam, and most of all Harry, my heart shatters at these words. The Queen smiles.

"Good, because Josh had said that you were in fact caught kissing a human..." That little no good son of a bitch!!!!!!!!!! Well I'll get him back for this.

"Ma'am, don't listen to Josh, he's a nut case" I warn. 

The Queen laughs. "Will do. You are dimissed." I bow and leave the large room, my heart pounding in my chest. My cover was almost blown. Josh swims up to me as soon as I leave the castle.

"Hey Nialler!!"

"Don't 'Hey Nialler' me" I mutter. Josh frowns.

"Did I do something?" I shake my head.

"No...no.... JUST YOU FUCKING RATTED ME OUT YOU LITTLE BASTARD!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FUCKING FRIEND, BUT I GUESS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Josh flinches. Good, I want him to flinch. I want him to be hurt.

"I-I'm s-sorry N-niall" He whispers. I scoff and swim away. I can hear Josh crying, but I really don't give a fuck about it. He wants to ruin my happiness, well two can play at that game....

Harry~

"HAROLD EDWARD STYLES!!!" I jump and look up to see my uncle with a smirking Zayn behind him.

"Is it true that you have found a REAL merman" He asks. I shake my head, earning a slap to my face.

"Don't lie you little fag" Paul warns, his eyes ablaze.

"I uh....... ran into him on the way to this cove" I explain, my voice shaking.  Paul smiles evilly.

"Mhm, and what's his name........." he presses.

"I-I-I D-d-do-on't k-know...." Paul slaps me again. THAT'S gonna leave a mark..........

"N-Niall.." I whisper.

My heart breaks. I don't wanna do this..... But I have to, if I want to live. Come on Harry, stop being so damn selfish already!!!!!! Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

"And where does he live" Zayn asks in the EXACT same tone my uncle had previously used. God, I just want to slap that smirk off his face! The tears start to run down my face.

"Near the b-boats" I hiccup, burying my face into my knees.

"Good boy" Paul hisses in my ear before walking out with Zayn on his heels.

The next day.......

"Haz wake UP" Louis shouts in my ear. I groan and shift sides so that my back is facing him.

"NGH!!"

"Haz wake up they've got him!!! They've got Niall" Louis yells urgenlty. I sit straight up in my bed. 

I.... am an awful boyfriend! Suddenly, Liam comes bursting in through the bedroom door. "Why the fuck did you tell him" Liam screams.

"Because I had to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Liam rolls his eyes.

"That's no excuse! He's your boyfriend, and you should do whatever it takes to protect him. Like I would do with Louis. I love him with all my heart and would die for him if I had to!"

I start sobbing now. "I.... Just don't know anymore!! I love him!!! I love him more than anything, but I just freaked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Well you've got to fix it" Liam says softly.

"How" I scream. "I'm such a fuckup, and I'm an AWFUL boyfriend!!!!!!!!!! Why the fuck would he even want me to help him now?!"

"Because............." Liam states. "Chances are he loves you too."

That's enough to send me over the edge. I start kicking and screaming and banging the floor with my fists. "Haz, calm down!!!!!" I start to calm down. "Now, what are we going to do to save him? Chances are it's too late to warn him, so therefore we must save him" Liam says. I roll my eyes. 

Then, a lightbulb goes on in my head. "I've got it."
