Chapter 15.............. :)

"He couldn't be there" Louis shouts.

Ashton nods. "Well unless he's dead, this is the only part of the dungeon we haven't searched yet" He persists.

Louis sighs. "Let's just get this over with. I want to be human again" He whines. I understand why. Niall makes it look so goddamn easy to have a tail! It's like carrying a bag of rocks attached to your torso. We swim into the dark hallways of the Death Row section. Please let him be here..... Please God, I've been a good boy. I haven't sinned. Please. I've gone to church a few times.......... (A/N: I am NOT trying to insult anyone I swear!!!!! If this is insulting I am terribly sorry!!)

We walk past a few empty cells until we reach the last one. I hear soft whimpers of pain coming from within, but it's too dark to make out who it is. "N-Niall" I ask, putting my hand on the bars of the cell. The figure from inside stops crying.

"H-Harry" He asks, his voice hoarse and meek.

"Niall" I shout again.

"HARRY!" Niall swims up to the bars and puts his hand on my own. He looks AWFUL!!! "H-How a-are y-you h-h-her-re" He asks with a slight hiccup. He sounds like a five year old who had just found their mum in the mall after missing them for two hours. I motion towards Ashton, who looks about ready to take Niall's head off at any given moment in time. Niall's smile smile falters and he glares at him.

"What are YOU doing here" He spits.

Ashton smirks. "I brought your boyfriend here to see you."

"You got me there, but why are you REALLY here?"

"I just came here to see my ex be executed. You know, after what you did to me..... I though it's be nice to watch you be stabbed to death" Ashton replies casually.

"I did NOTHING to you!!!!! Absolutely NOTHING!!!!!" Niall defends.

Ashton raises an eyebrow. "OH YEAH?! THEN WHY DID I SEE YOU WITH THAT DEVINE KID" He challenges.

"Josh is.....erm....was my BEST FRIEND!!! I WASN'T HAVING FUCKING SEX WITH HIM!!!!! WE WERE PLAYING AROUND!!! And do you know how many COUNTLESS times I had to endure YOU cheating on ME?! Well if you forget, like 50 times. And every single time I would believe you when you said you loved me! We apparently you didn't!!!!!" Niall screams.

Ashton looks taken aback. "I-"

"DON'T even speak" Niall shouts. Ashton closes his mouth. Niall sighs.

"Niall, we came to save you" Louis declares.

Nial shakes his head. "There's no saving me. I'm done for. Even if I did escape, I would be hunted down and killed right then and there. Harry...... No matter what, I will always love you. Always......"

Tears stream down my face. "No Niall....NO! I did NOT come this far to see you be killed. No..... I will sacrifice myself if need be...." I cry, attempting to hug Niall, but failing. STUPID BARS!!

Niall gave me a weak smile. "You really think that I would let you do that?"

I shake my head. "No.... Because you are STUBBORN!!!!!!"

Niall laughs. "Well thank you, Harry."

I smile. "Don't mention it."

"HEY!! WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO THE PRISONERS" The guard yells.

"We're not sir, he's trying to convince us to let him out" Ashton lies.

The guard sends Niall a glare. "Try something like that again...... and I'll make sure to kill you right here, right now." Then he swims off.

"Niall, I don't want you to die" I whisper. 

"It's okay Harry, I will find a way out. You shouldn't stay here. You HAVE to go back to shore, unless you want to end up like me. Wait for me at our special meeting place. I promise I'll find a way out" He soothes.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

I sniff. "Okay...." I turn to face Louis and Ashton. "Let's go."

Ashton and Louis nod and we swim away. I wave a small goodbye to Niall and he smiles and mouths 'I love you.'

Niall~

I grip the bars of my cell tightly. "Horan, come with me" The guard orders as he unlocks the tiny door. I don't DARE try to run away. I WILL get out. I promised Harry.....

"Niall Horan" The Queen asks as I take a seat on the rock hard spong bed, my hands being hancuffed behind my back. Seriously, I am not going to swim away....... "Did you have a relation with a human?" I nod.

"Yes your majesty, I did." I sigh, knowing that there is no way I am getting out of this.

"And you were aware of the consequences?"

I nod again. "Yes."

"Very well then. Any last words?" 

I clear my throat. "Yes, actually. I'd just like to say.... Love is love, regardless of whether it is between two mermen, two mermaids, or a merman and a mermaid. Love is love even if it's between a dolphin and a merperson. And well, you can't choose who you fall in love with. It's how God made us. And I just happened to fall in love with a human. I put our differences aside and looked at what was inside his heart. 

Who cares if he doesn't have a tail, or webbed hands, or fins. Who cares that he doesn't eat kelp, or doesn't live in the water? Because I don't care. I love him. And you can execute me. But when you think about it.... You are executing me because I fell in love." I take a deep breath. There are a lot of gasps from the jury, but I see that I hit the Queen's soft spot.

"You really love that boy" The Queen asks. I nod. 

"With all my heart and soul."

"Well....... Erm...................Um.........." She starts.

"LET HIM GO" Someone shouts from the sea of people. I turn around to see Josh swimming towards the Queen. "Your Highness, let him go. He deserves to be happy. The whole reason he is here now is because of me. I turned him in....... Th eleast I can do is make sure he gets out of this alive..." I smile at Josh, and he returns it.

The Queen sighs. "Okay... I adjourn this meeting!" I rush over and engulf Josh in a huge hug.

"Thank you" I whisper, my voice cracking in the end.

"Don't mention it. Considering I almost got you killed, it's the least I could do..."

I nod. "But still......... Thank you.."

Josh smiles. I smile back. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a certain human to find" I state. Josh smiles knowingly.

"Bye Nialler" He shouts. I wave a small goodbye. Harry, here I come!!
