“Caroline what happened?! How long have you been here like this?” she looked confused. “Who are you?” great... she’d lost her memory. “I’m Jaz, remember? Olly’s girlfriend...” she looked liked she slightly remembered. I rang Olly. “Olly I need you at Caroline’s dressing room it’s an emergency!” I heard him tell Sarah and some of the band. “We’re on our way!” I hung up and sat with Caroline. “What’s your full name?” she knew this one instantly “Caroline Louise Flack” this next one was harder. “When were you born?” I remember after hitting my head the hospital asked me these things. “9th of November 1979.” Okay she remembered the basics. “Caroline do you remember Olly?” she nodded slowly. “Who is Olly?” I asked her. And with that he came through the door. She pointed. “That’s Olly!” she said. Okay good she hadn’t lost all memory. “What happened?!” I looked at Olly. “I don’t know she can’t really remember me... or what happened. She can remember you. Caroline, who is Dermot?” she looked at me. “Umm, he does the main show.” “What main show?” I was worried she’d forgotten what her job was. “Umm, e ex X Factor?” okay things were coming back to her. Olly was ringing an ambulance. Within five minutes the ambulance arrived. They asked me questions. “How long has she been like this?” the paramedic looked at her. “I don’t know she can’t remember. She can remember her name and her birthday and people she has known a while but she only just recognises me. I have only known her about a week.” He wrote all of this down. “Okay I need at least two people to come with her.” I looked at Olly and he opened his mouth to speak. “Olly you’ve got work! Me and Tulisa will go!” he tried to protest but I wasn’t going to let him. “I know you love Caroline like a sister but she would want you to do well so we’ll look after her wont we T?” Tulisa nodded. “I’ll text you when she’s okay I promise!” Tulisa and I helped Caroline into the ambulance where they sat her down and cleaned her wound. As they shut the doors I saw Olly crying. “Caroline do you remember anything about what happened?” she thought for a minute. I gestured to one of the paramedics to write this down. “I remember somebody... I think it was my ex... I'm not sure though. He had something in his hand, and all I can remember after that is waking up and sitting on the sofa. You arrived about five minutes later...” if it was her ex why did he do that? “What’s your ex’s name Caroline?” the time she took to think about things was decreasing. “His name is... I think it’s... Conner... Conner, umm, Ashmore...” the paramedics wrote it all down while Tulisa and I tried to calm Caroline down. She was remembering things about her past that she had never told anybody. They got her to the hospital where they examined her wound trying to work out what caused it. “It’s not a knife wound... it’s not deep enough...” me and Tulisa breathed a sigh of relief. “T, are there Security camera’s in Caroline’s dressing room?” she nodded. “Yeh I think so...” “I'm going outside to ring Olly I might be able to get some answers...” the medical team nodded and Tulisa hugged me. I waved to Caroline who waved back weakly. I walk out of the hospital. “Olly!” “Jaz is she okay?!” I walked towards a tree. “Yes she’s going to be okay. She sort of remembers what happened but can you get the security team to look at the video of the security cameras in Carrie’s dressing room please!” “Sure!” I could hear him running and then talking to Tom... the head security person. “Okay there’s a man and he has what looks like a rock in his hand. He shouted at her about leaving him or something before hitting her on the head and running out. She was lying on the floor for about five minutes before waking up and sitting on the sofa...” I scribbled this down on my hand. “Thanks Olly! I’ll ring you as soon as I can. I’ve gotta get this back to the medics! Love you!” “Bye I love you too! Tell Caroline she’s gonna be okay!” I started walking back towards the hospital. “Course I will bye!” I hung up and literally sprinted back to Caroline’s room. “I know what happened!” the medics looked at me while carrying on looking after Caroline. “Okay there was a man and he had what looked like a rock in his hand. He shouted at Caroline about leaving him we think before hitting her on the head with the rock and running out. She was lying on the floor for about five minutes before waking up and sitting on the sofa...”I read it off my hand. She nodded as I said it. “I remember that now! It was definitely Conner.” She started crying. “Caroline... Olly said you’re going to be okay. He promised. You are going to be fine. No one can hurt you here.” Tulisa went to the other side of her bed and we sat with her. “He knows where I am...” she was still crying. I took hold of her hand. “And we aren’t going to let him get you...” she was scared stiff. “She’s going to have to stay overnight.” We suddenly heard the medic say. “I’ll stay with her Tulisa...” “Are you sure darl?” I nodded. “I’ll tell everyone what’s happening and I’ll make sure Olly is okay for you...” “Thanks T” I smiled at her. I gave her a hug and she hugged Caroline before waving at us and going back to fountain studios. “Jaz...” I looked at Caroline. “Thanks for looking after me...” she was weak but tried to smile. “It’s okay... you need to rest now...” she closed her eyes and went to sleep. “Is it okay to have my phone on in here?” I asked the doctors. “Yes that’s fine but you may get asked to turn it off if there is any equipment in use...” I nodded. “Oh okay fair enough...” I text Olly. ‘Caroline is going to be fine. I promise you xxx’ he was worried sick. ‘What ward are you in? Xxx’ he replied almost instantly. “Excuse me... which ward is this?” I asked a nurse. She turned to look at me... her hair tied neatly in a bun and her make up very simple. She looked kind. “This is willow ward my sweets are you alright?” I was a bit shaken up. “Thank you and yeh I'm fine just shock is all...” she smiled “my names Becky... if you need anything I’ll be at the desk.” I thanked her and texted Olly again. ‘We’re in Willow Ward xxx’ I didn’t get a reply but in about 5 minutes Olly was at the door. “Hey...” he said quietly. I stood up. “She’ll be fine... I promise you” he was worried sick. I gave him a hug and sat with him beside Caroline. He stroked her hair out of the way. She started to wake. “Olly?” he smiled. “You’re gonna be okay...” I sat there. She smiled... “Thanks Ol’s...” she suddenly put her hand to her head. “Ow...” “What’s the matter?” Olly said panicked. I sat him down. “My head just hurts...” Olly always looked at Caroline as a sister. I had to keep him calm. “She’s going to be okay Olly, please calm down...” the doctor had now come in and was sorting Caroline’s head. The doctor asked me to step outside so he could speak to me. “Caroline lost a lot of blood during her accident and we wish to keep her in over the weekend. We are aware this messes up work issues so could you ring someone to sort something out?” the doctor looked like there was no way he was letting Caroline leave this hospital. “I’ll go and ring someone now...” he nodded his head. “I’ll tell them where you’ve gone.” I thanked him and went outside. I rang Tulisa. “T?” “hey Jaz. Is she alright?” I looked at the horrible grey building that Caroline was trapped in. “She has to stay in over the weekend! We have no one for Xtra!” I heard Tulisa panicking. “Jaz! Simon asked if you would do it! He said you can bring someone to help you.” I thought about it. “Umm I, I guess I could do it... but I will be no where as good as Carrie...” “No one is let’s be honest but text me if one of your friends can help you out...” “Okay T I’ll ask someone... Bye!” we hung up. I texted my friend Bella. ‘Bella um you’re going to flip but basically: I’m going out with Olly Murs no joke and yeh Caroline can’t do Xtra this week due to an injury I’ll explain later can you get up here and help me present Xtra this week? Xxxx’ she was going to freak out. ‘OMG OMG OMG WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME? AND INJURY? COURSE I’LL HELP YOU! I’M GETTING ON THE TRAIN IN AN HOUR WHERE SHALL I MEET YOU? XXXXX’ like I said... freaking out. “We’re in St John’s Hospital in willow ward I’ll be here all night. I promised Caroline I’d stay with her xxx’ I went back inside. Olly was holding Caroline’s hand and she was crying. “What’s wrong Caroline?” I sat beside her. “She was just explaining about Conner.” The sound of his name made her wince. She had started to fall back to sleep again. I guess with all the pain it made her tired. I fell asleep too on Olly’s lap. After about 3 hours I heard someone knocking on the door. I woke up and answered it. “Bella, hey... Caroline’s asleep but you’re quite welcome to come in...” she hugged me. “Hey! Now please explain everything!” she whispered. I laughed quietly. I decided to explain about me and Olly first so it made sense to her. She said hello to Olly and we sat by Caroline for a bit. Bella couldn’t really believe this was happening to be honest. We all eventually fell asleep at about 2 o'clock in the morning.
