So the alpha blood will allow us to change him? My wolf said.

Yes...it will. I answered.

So when do we do it?

I don't know yet.

Can we do it now? She begged.

No, not yet.

Whyy nott?!?! She whined.

Because I don't know how he would feel about some random girl he just met biting him and changing his life forever.

So we aren't going to change him? She pouted.

No, we aren't. First he has to accept us the way we are.

Our wolfiness?

Ha-ha, yes our wolfiness.

So we show him tomorrow.

No, not tomorrow, he has to fall in love first.

Okay, how will we know when he's in love?

I guess we'll know.

The next few days I visited him in human form at the pond. Everyday he seemed more excited to see me than the last.

I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.

One day, we sat watching the birds fly through the sky, my fingers entwined in his. "I wish I was that free." He said.

"What if you could be?"

"How could something that perfect and inviting be possible?"

"Everything is possible, you would be surprised as to what all is out there."

"What? Like mythical creatures?" He laughed.

"Yeah, like mythical creatures."

He laughed the looked at me. "You're serious aren't you? Oh, we'll I suppose something like that could exists out there somewhere."

"I know it does."

He smiled then looked into my eyes, "I love you."

"I love you too."

"And I want you to know, if we had a chance to be mythical, I would for you."

"You would?"

"Yes, for you."

"What if I told you, that you have a chance at that?"

"Well, first I'd think you were crazy as hell, then I'd realize you're serious, and ask how in the world would we do that."

"Things aren't always as they seem, Trent."

"I know that my love." He said as I lay my head on his shoulder.

"I can explain more...but you have to promise to accept everything."

"Anything for you. I promise."

"The wolf you helped out of the fence."

"How did you know about that?"

"That was me."

"What??" He asked, clearly confused.

"My family and I, we're werewolves."

He looked shocked, then he smiled, "you're pulling my leg." He laughed.

"I'm not, I promise. I can show you if you promise not to freak out."

The smile left his face. "Okay, I'll try my best."
