~EJ's POV~
I was in my room watching TV when Jeff called everyone into the living room. I got up, turned of the TV and headed downstairs in my Pjs because I was too tired to change. When I got down stairs, everyone was talking in confusion and were huddled around something. I asked Jeff what was going on and what everyone was talking about.
"There's a kid here that isn't terrified of us... It's honestly kinda weird..." he answered and I was shocked. A kid that isn't scared of us? How's that possible?? When I went to look at who came here, I was taken by surprise to see an injured girl sitting on the couch looking around with a casual expression. It was like she didn't see anything wrong with us, like we were all normal.
"Hey girl, how'd you get all the way out here? And how are you not afraid of us?" I asked.
" why do I need to be scared? We're all human, aren't we?" She answered casually and slightly curious. I was taken aback and answered with a simple "no." At that point she seemed confused and she looked around again, then back at me but she never looked at me directly.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you blind?" I questioned. She seemed to have that cloud that most people have in her eyes, but her eyes were brighter than most.
"Yes, I am blind." She answered with a saddened look. I think I triggered a memory because she rubbed a scar she had on her nose. I didn't want to make her cry, so I didn't ask about it.
"Do you remember where you live? Or how you got here?" I asked, hoping she would have some recollection of where she's from.
" I don't remember my address but I know how I got here. I was thrown in here by some jerks at my school and I was LITERALLY thrown against a tree and blacked out. Then I found my way here." She said was a blank expression. I was surprised at how brave she was considering she can't see anything.
"Do you remember anything past that? Like, what town you're from or what your name is?"
" I don't remember what town but my name is Lilly." She seemed curious and started touching my hoodie. I was confused but held still.
" you seem like a 19 year old, considering your hight and width. And you kinda smell homey. Like my house. Salty and sweet. Strange." She did appear to be the observant type. And she guessed my age on just my hight? That's a shocker for sure. Especially when she said that I smell like her home... weird...
[IM RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS!!! It might be a while before I upload the next chapter because of school, but I'll get to it ASAP!]
