Chapter 2

Finally schools over and I'm on the couch with Jose eating some ice cream. I soon heard the door bell ring...that's weird no one really comes over.  I look out the window by the door and see that Azare is outside. My eyes widen and I open the door. "What in the name are you doing here?" I ask and he shrugs "well I came here for Brandon. me and him have to study and well I'm here so..." I'm still shocked because he hasn't been here before, let alone anyone. I nod and take him to my brothers room

After a while I hear my brothers door close and I here a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." And once Azare walked in i kinda regretted saying that. I sigh "what do you want Azare?" He chuckled  " I don't know just to hang out i guess." And after he said that I heard a car pull out front and my face went pale. I stood up and pushed Azare into my closet and I went downstairs to find my Dad on the couch with a beer in his hand while he slept. in relief i sighed and went up stairs to get Azare "you need to leave...like right now!" He looks at me weird and with confusion. "What!?why?!!what happened?" I didn't know what to say so I slowly pulled him down stairs and to the backyard "What the heck is going on!" He yelled at me "shut up! Can you just leave!" I just don't want him to see what really happens. "FINE!" He stomps off and I just lost 10 pounds of worry . And when I went inside I gained 20 times worse. There he was he stood up with his bottle in his hand and he had a huge grin on his face . " who was that ?" He questioned. I stood there silent and he walked up to me and pulled my hair and threw me against the wall. I screech in pain as my back hit the wall I fell. Through the years I learned to not fight back and to let it happen. He then kicked me in the stomach and I almost lost my breath. He then kicked my legs almost about 20 times fast. After that he picked me up and threw me to the kitchen table and then the last thing I remember was being kicked to the head

I stood off the floor with the biggest headache in the whole world it looked really dark and I look at the kitchen clock and see that it was 2 am. I was out. After that I usually got to my room and cry myself to sleep but this time I was ...numb.

"Wake up pen!"
I turn my head and notice that it is my brother,Brandon."what do you want Brandon?!?!" I say while throwing one of my accessory pillows at his head."bwahhh!"I heard him get hit and I chuckled." Hey get up I had to take Jose to school" I sigh and give up. so I get up and do my usual stuff to get ready for school. But this time I have to take a shower. 10 minutes later I'm in the mirror putting on my foundation to cover the damage on my face. "ASPEN COME DOWN STAIRS IM LEAVING," he calls "OKAY COMING" I run down stairs and grab my binder and books. Sooner or later we are at the bus stop same as always. The bus arrives and it's the same as yesterday only one seat there and it was next to Azare,"look I bet this is every girls dream but I don't want to be here." I roll my eyes and look out the window. "Yeah I know I understand, but Did you get in trouble because I heard someone yelling after I left." My face went blank and I nod my head awkwardly "Yeah umm, my dad just didn't know who you were."
I mean it was a white lie I guess. Now his face was full of confusion. "Ummmm okay then.... hey I never really asked but what's your name." He questioned. It's true I haven't heard him call me by my name. "My names Aspen, Aspen Gray."
