Broken Glass

The school bell rang as I ran to class, spotting Liam and Nolan talking in the hallway, I walked over to them, knowing my class will still be there when I'm done talking to Liam and Nolan,

"Nobody trusts you anymore." I heard Liam say to Nolan, Nolan looked at me and quickly looked away,

"What's going on?" I asked them, Liam stared at Nolan,

"Nobody trusts him anymore." Liam responded to me, never once losing eye contact with Nolan,

"Why? Nolan?" I asked him, he gulped,

"I'm the one that shot down Scott's house." my eyes opened wide,

"You? You're the one that sent Melissa to the hospital?!" I exclaimed, pushing him up against the wall.

The hallway was silent now, no kids were there anymore, they were all in class,

"You shot an innocent women, she did nothing to any of you!" Liam pulled me back. I looked at Nolan, anger in my eyes, he looked down at the ground.

"I can show you something." Nolan muttered,
Something I know you want to see."

"Where?" Liam and I asked,

"At the hospital." I looked at him, not trusting him,

"You said you had to kill me, us, What makes you think I trust you now?" I asked,

"She's right, why can't you just tell us what it is?" Liam backed me up, Nolan looked at me,

"I have a plan."

"You? A plan? What, is it to take us to the hospital and kill us?" I asked him, he shook his head,

"I'm gonna show you what you want to see at the hospital," he said to me and then looked at Liam, "And then you're going to kick my ass so Monroe thinks that you had to beat it out of me." I looked at Liam, he smirked,

"Yeah, I'm good with that plan." Nolan and Liam looked at me, I sighed and rolled my eyes,

"Fine, I'm in."

Nolan pulled Liam and I through the back door of the hospital, holding me closely behind him,

"Why did we need to come through the back?" I asked him,

"See that guy over there?" Nolan said and pointed to a guy standing by the front door,

"Who is he?" Liam asked from behind me,

"He's with Monroe, he was there last night. They handed him a gun like everyone else." he pulled me and Liam down the hallway,

"See that nurse?" He asked and pointed with his head, I nodded,

"She was standing right behind me when they handed her a gun, there's more than you think and they're not just hunters. It's anyone and everyone who's willing to pick up a gun. Last night they were teaching them how to use them, how to load clips, what to do if the gun jams."

"Nurses?" I asked, he nodded,

"Everyone."

"Is this what you wanted to show us? That people hate us? I could've figured that out on my own."

"It's not just that," Nolan sighed, "Come with me, Okay?" He asked, we nodded.

He began walking down the hall and Liam and I stayed put, he turned around and marched towards us,

"Now!" He said to us and pulled us with him. He pushed us into the elevator and pressed a button.

When the elevator opened, he shielded my face and threw me into a room, there were people on many beds in that room,

"What is this?" I asked Nolan,

"They brought them in yesterday."

"Who are they?" I asked,

"I don't know, but they brought them in last night."

"Do you know what these are?" Liam asked, we looked at him to see him pointing to the medical drips with a purple liquid in them,

"Wolfsbane." Nolan said to Liam, Liam called Mason.

"Can't we just pull them out?" I asked, walking over to the medical drip, Nolan's arms found their way around my waist as he pushed me back behind him,

"No, you don't know what can happen." he said to me, I looked at Liam who put his phone away,

"Corey and Mason are on their way."

"Okay, Uh, I'm going." Nolan said and made his way to the door,

"Woah! What about your plan?" Liam asked, stopping him,

"No one saw you come in with me."

"So?"

"So, I don't have to get my ass kicked." Nolan stated, Liam groaned,

"That was the only part of the plan that I liked." I walked over to Liam and slapped him upside the head,

"Go." I said to Nolan, he smiled at me and left, leaving Liam and I to wait for Mason and Corey.
