Never knew

It was a normal day, it was hot but normal, for now.
Things were about to change.

Tamika is a young teenager, aged 14 who went to her cousins house to spend new years there
Tamika loved her cousin Vicky, she was the best cousin ever.

"Hey Tamika, what are you up to?" Asked Vicky.
"I'm just making coffee, then I'm going to go take a walk." I replied

There was silence for a few seconds before Vicky spoke again.

"Well please be back soon, my friends are coming over and i want you to meet them." Vicky said sounding excited.
"Will Marko be coming?" I asked, Marko is Vicky's boyfriend, and he is really cool... I always look forward to seeing him.
"Of course he will.. Any chance he gets to see me." She replied
"Don't worry, I won't take long." I assured her

I finished my coffee and I was about to head out when I heard Vicky scream. I ran to her and asked why she screamed and she just pointed to the gate.. When I looked I saw two cars. I recognised the one car.. it belonged to Marko but I wasn't familiar with the other one. I knew it belonged to her friends.

"You can't go for a walk now.. I want you to meet my friends." She said to me
"I'll be back in 10 minutes," I said to her, "I promise."
She nodded and I left..

I was back home within 10 to 15 minutes and as I thought, I found Vicky and her friends outside by their cars.

I saw a really cute guy stare at me but I just thought he was looking at me to see who I am.

"There you are, finally, come meet my friends." Vicky said signalling for me to go over to her.

"This is Dario." She said pointing to a big built guy with long hair and a beard.
"This is Tara." Pointing to her beat friend is is kinda chubby, with long hair and a belly ring.. who is also Dario's girlfriend
"And this is Rico." She said pointing to a tall, skinny guy with curly hair.. the guy who was starring at me earlier.
"And of course you know Marko." She said pointing to her boyfriend

"Nice to meet everyone," I said with a light smile, "I'm Tamika."

Rico's POV

Damn, This girl is gorgeous. Is it possible to fall in love before getting to know someone.

And her name is so unique. I wonder is she will spend new years with us.. i sure hope so.

I was starring at her when I felt a nudge. I looked away to see Dario smiling at me. I just looked down and smiled.

Tamika's POV

I felt so uncomfortable with Rico starring at me like I was a piece of meat.

I don't know what he was looking at me for... I don't like people starring at me. It was getting late so I told Vicky I was going to head inside.

"Yeah, we should head inside. I'll see you guys tomorrow." She said to her friends who were now getting in their car.
Vicky ran and kissed Marko before he left and they all said bye to each other.

"And I'll see you tomorrow new girl." Rico said to me and winked then got in the car and they all left.

"That was interesting." I said to Vicky when we got inside the house.
"Very." She replied.
