My first time at a house party. I know, I know, I'm a 20 year old in college, how could this be my first? Well high school was... kind of... busy, to say the least. I put serum in my curly hair and slipped on a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt. I stuffed a black zip-up in my bag for the undercover part of the night. I headed downstairs and filled up a water bottle in the fridge. A hand covered my face. Wait, what is that grainy feeling? I take the person's hand off my face.

"EW WTF, why did you cover my face with your CHEESE DUST COVERED HANDS?!"

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't realize," the stranger said.

"Yousef!" I said, hugging my older brother, "When did you get here?"

"Just now, Mom told me to come home."

"For... what?"

"I have no clue, she never said, she just said she wanted me here."

"Weird. Well, how long are you planning to stay here?"

"Probably for a week or two, my company is opening a branch in Springfield. I'm planning on being the head of the branch there. It's four hours away from here but I'll visit more often which is good. I'll be here more to annoy you which is also good," he said, messing up my hair.

"Hey! I just combed it!" I said.

"Where are you going?"

"A party."

"Dua Esfoundary Abdul! Since when have you been going to parties? You're not a party person," Yousef said, crossing his arms.

"And you're not a work person, but here we are."

"Okay fine, I deserved that."

"Besides, I won't be away for long, these kinds of things are not my scene."

"When's Ammi gonna be here?"

"She's out for a business dinner. There's probably food in the fridge."

"Could I come with you?"

"NO! I mean, no, you can't come with me Yousef, just stay home and watch a movie. Okay, I'll be back."

"Okay? Drive safe," he said, checking the fridge.

I grabbed my keys and closed the door behind me. I really hate lying to my brother. But I have to. I have been, for years.

I pulled up to the crowded house. Noah has lived in the same upper class neighborhood since we were kids, and the houses in the neighborhood are far apart from each other. The house looked really crowded outside and I wasn't looking forward to seeing the inside.

I walked up the walkway of the door. A guy pushed the door open, ran out and almost hit me in the face with it. Moron. I walked in and all the memories flooded in. Noah twisted his knee in this foyer while we were playing cops and robbers, all three of us taking prom pictures on these stairs. Robbie's voice brought me back to reality.

"Dua! Hey! I'm surprised and glad you made it!" Rob said, with his arm on Minna.

"Hey Dua!" She said running up to hug me.

"Hey... I'm gonna use the bathroom, I'll be back!"

"Come back quick girlfriend! We're gonna play a game!" Minna said while Robbie was pulling her into the kitchen.

Ugh. Seriously, I don't want those two to become a thing. I walk up the stairs and put my hood up. I open a random door and get a pillow thrown at my face. Great. A big house with so many rooms for drunken teenagers to make out. After about six doors I find one empty. A guest room, maybe? Ugh. This will take hours.
