I remember having this dream when I was still in elementary school.
My house has a garden with vegetables and fruit trees in the backyard, but in its place I dreamed of a huge wheat field with an oak tree in the middle.
I was looking for my uncle, since he used to be the one taking care of the garden usually, because I wanted to ask him if he could bring me to my cousin's house.
Her name's Miriam, it's been a long time since I last heard of her and I honestly miss her: we used to be best friends when we were kids, but then we took different paths in life and we haven't spoken since.
For some reason I wanted to go visit her so bad, so my uncle took me to her house with his little white car, except the road was all different, much straighter than the real one, full of sharp turns, it looked like we lived in the countryside and wheat fields were the only type of landscape there was, and her house was some sort of mixture between a mill and a farm, like the farmer house across the street I used to visit from time to time with my grandma, but in my eyes everything seemed beautiful and peaceful.
As soon as I got out of the car, I rushed to Miriam and we started playing in the fields around the place with a big brown dog that kept tagging along for some reason, while her mother was either making pancakes, cookies, coffee or baking. Then we played until sunset and that pretty much wraps everything up.
It had a really summer-ish and carefree feel to it, I remember enjoying this dream back when I was little. Since it's been a long time, I may not remember everything precisely, but I hope it's meaning is just as good as the tender emotions it keeps bringing me every time it comes to mind.
