Baekhyun

"Are you sure you have to leave us?" Luhan said as I finished putting the last of my stuff in the car. "I can talk to my folks again. I can convince them to let you stay with us so you at least don't have to move to a different school."

"As much as I would love that, I can't put the burden on you or them," I said, looking at his pathetic eyes. He curled up his lip and looked down at the ground in melancholy. My dad came back out with the last box and put it in the trunk.

"Sorry, guys. I know you'll miss him. But I'll make sure he comes to visit," he said. He then said his goodbyes to them after he shut the trunk. He got in the car and started it up, waiting for me to get in, too.

"I'll really miss you guys," I said to them all.

"We'll miss you, too," Xiumin said as he went in for a hug

"Good luck surviving the spoiled assholes," Kai said, kind of laughing but I could tell there was some seriousness in there. "Let me know if they try anything. I'll use my temporary good luck charm."

"Thanks, I'll be sure to let you know," I said. I turned to Luhan next, who looked like he was about to cry at any moment.

"Don't leave me, Baekhyun!" he said, hugging me around my waist suddenly. "Don't leave me with these people! I won't survive!"

Sehun pulled him off of me and said, "Calm down, hyung. It's not like he's leaving the country." He shook his head. "Good luck, man. Don't worry, we'll take care of Luhan," he added, while still holding Luhan by his waist. I smiled and sighed deeply before getting in the car.

I put my seat belt on and waved one last time to them. They all waved back.

"Ready?" my dad asked from the driver's seat. I looked at him. Truthfully, no I wasn't ready. Not being ready wasn't an option, though.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I nodded and smiled faintly. He smiled back and then pulled out on to the road that would lead me to our new temporary home.

When we got there, I stared in complete awe because their house was huge. It had a dated contemporary look on the outside with a really big circular driveway encircling a fountain located. The water in the fountain glistened in the sunlight as we pulled around to the front door. I saw someone open the door as my dad turned off the car. He was tall and wearing a suit that looked more expensive than my school tuition, so I thought it was fair to assume he was Mr. Park."

"Welcome!" he said as we got out of the car. "We've been looking forward to your arrival." Then, Chanyeol came out and stood next to his dad, except he didn't look as happy with his arms crossed over his chest and a frown on his face. He didn't look happy at all. "Aren't we, Chanyeol?" he said putting his arm around him. He pulled away quickly and rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Thank you again for letting us stay here, sir. I don't know how I'll ever be able to pay you back for this," my dad said as he bowed to him.

"Good thing you won't need to then, huh?" Mr. Park joked, shaking my dad's hands.

"Oh, this is my son, Baekhyun," my dad said.

I smiled and bowed towards Mr. Park. "Hello, Mr. Park," I said. "Thank you so much for letting us stay here."

"Oh, it was no problem. Your dad does so much for us, I figured this is the least I could do," he explained. "This my son, Chanyeol. I think you two are around the same age, so hopefully, you can speak comfortably with each other."

I looked at him as he was looking at me. I saw a spark of something in his eyes; it wasn't hate or even resentment, but it definitely wasn't friendliness either.
