Aria's POV*

As I sat down on the leather black sofa, the man across from me is scowling in my direction. I raise my eyebrows at him silently in question which in turn makes him huff and turn towards my brother, who had seemingly appeared out of thin air once more and his eyes had been studying me. They had begun to quietly argue with each other in hushed whispers.

My father clears his throat loudly gathering everyones attention and tossed a look their way. The wild glint in his eye had keyed me in that something was clearly going on. Silence fell upon us all for a moment before anyone spoke.

"Tell me," i mumble out at first, "tell me what it is, that has my brothers butt buddy all hot and bothered to the point he is trying to throw me six feet under....with his eyes." I finish, slowly becoming louder with every word. The man next to my brother open his mouth to speak, but Darius beats him to it. "Im NOT your brother." He says firmly between gritted teeth. his response makes something click inside of me. I nod unamused as I study my nails. "Yeah, 'cause even though we shared a womb and whatnot," I say shaking my hand absentmindedly, "you're absolutely not my brother." I finish out with a snort. Making my dad chuckle lightly at me.

An angry look that I immediately recognize crosses my brothers face. "My sister wouldn't have killed our mom." he spits out as hurt crosses his features briefly.  In an instant, our father is in front of him, grabbing him by the collar,  "You will NOT speak of your mother like that to your sister!", He bellows loudly into his face, and even though his back is to me, I can tell that he is beyond angry. His ears are red and his fists are clenched firmly around Darius's jacket collar. He flings Darius down onto the couch and storms off. I don't utter a word as I watch his retreating figure. "This is all your fucking fault!" My brother screams loudly, as he stands back up as before, making me scoff at him once more, "I barely got a word out before you started mentioning mom like its my fault she got shot! You were there too. And we almost lost dad that night also!", I say screaming loudly meeting him face to face as I stand up, "We were almost orphans and no one is to blame besides the motherfuckers who broke in and tried to kill us all!" I finish off searching my brothers angry eyes. I start again, "I know you're angry and I know you're looking for someone to blame as a way to cope, but for the sake of dad...the man who almost lost everything that night...stop bringing it up in front of him. and everybody for that matter," I say getting many octaves lower towards the end, "It hurts him more than it will ever hurt you & I. He lost his soulmate that night. His wife. The mother of his children. He lost more than imaginable and you're too worried about having someone to blame to realize he needs the only family he has left! Get the fuck over yourself already, D. 'cause you're kinda fucking losing it." I say finally speaking my thoughts with a tight lipped smile towards him.

I turn to leave and suddenly he is on me. Punching and pulling at my face and hair.  I don't think as I begin pulling my body away from his reach making him stumble forwards and lose his balance. As he lays on the ground trying to catch his breath after the wind is knocked out of him, my heel is in his back. Raising a hand towards his buddies who seem to stand up in defense ready to jump at me when given the chance I chuckle at them. "Im the heir. You touch me, you die." I say smiling murderously towards them. Slowly, I retracted my foot from my brothers back.  As I turn to leave i'm calling over my shoulder, "I don't think ill ever understand how its him you favor, seems like i'm the only Vex twin who can fight their own battles.", with a smirk towards the security, I disappear behind the same doors my father previously had.
