Starting Over

Chapter 4-Our Love, Forever More.

*This is  Vmin's Chapter.

"Come, Chimmie.  Feed me than we'll go to bed early tonight hmmm?" Jimin smiled at his Tae and nodded.   That was usually code for someone's gonna get lucky tonight.  Jimin stopped Tae at the kitchen and turned his head towards his younger lover.  "Why don't we take this food and eat in bed?" Jimin giggled and Tae blushed at his mochi's cuteness.  "Can't argue with you my dearst, Chimmie."  With Jimin's support he helped Tae down the hallway to their bedroom and sat him down on their bed.  "I'll go get food and be right back."  Jimin rushed out of the room and back to the kitchen to grab the bags of food.  He came back to the door with the food in his hands,  Tae laid on the bed with his eyes closed.  Jimin's heart ached.  Tae looked so frail, he'd lost weight and seemed so much smaller than even Jimin now.   Jimin put the bags of food down and climbed onto the bed and hovered over his younger lover.  Tae's eyes slowly opened up and he pulled his mochi down against his body, wrapped his arms around the pink haired cutie pie.  Jimin felt tears stinging the back of his eyes but he wouldn't let them spill instead he leaned in and kissed his Taetae.  His full lips easily slipping over Tae's pliant ones.  He wanted to taste his younger lover slowly, take his time as if this was the last time.  Because one day soon of one these times would be the very last time.   Jimin wasn't ready for it..  He wasn't ready to lose his Tae.  He would never be ready to lose his Tae.

Over the next few weeks Jimin watched Tae quietly. He didn't want to confront his lover just yet. In fact he didn't want to confront his lover at all. He felt that Taehyung knew on some level that Jimin had an idea, especially one morning when Taehyung had snuck off to the bathroom with one of his coughing fits. The coughing fit had started easily enough but at escalated quickly. Taehyung couldn't breathe, he had collapsed in front of the toilet and then the blood appeared in the toilet water. Tae tasted the blood in his mouth and bit back the sobs that threatened to escape his lips. It was only a matter of time before his Jimmie would know maybe he did. He was so clingy to him lately.  With Hoseok's death their band had become uncertain but Hoseok and Tae had completed just before Hoseok's death a duet that Tae was going to surprise Jimin with on their 8th anniversary in fact he wanted to propose to his Jimmie. He knew his time was growing even shorter and didn't want to waste it. 

His last doctor's appointment was not good. The cancer was spreading faster than he hoped. His time was slipping away so quickly. Doctor's were not optimistic at this point and recommended hospice care but Taehyung wanted to keep fighting till the very end for his Jimmie. If it bought him just little more time he would take it, if he had to suffer just a little bit more pain he'd suffer all to stay just a little longer with his Jimmie. 

Unbeknownst to Jimin Taehyung had been leaning heavily on his friend Yoongi. Hoseok had completed his half of their duet just days before his death and Taehyung had struggled with his illness to get through his half but Yoongi caught on to Taehyung's illness and did his best to help his friend, taking Taeyhung to his chemo appointments, radiation treatments, was there to take care of him after when the pain was so bad that Taehyung would cry endlessly and vomit but he wanted to do this for Jimin and to live. Then came the prognosis, he was going to die. There was no hope. He told Yoongi. He cried with Yoongi. Yoongi did his best to comfort his friend. He pleaded with his friend not to tell Jimin. He pleaded with Yoongi to help him finish had of his and Hoseok's duet, "Hug Me." (A/N: I know this was a cover but the song was so beautiful that I decided to use this as a song sung by Hoseok and Taehyung. Fitting for their untimely ends in this story.) After this latest appointment with the cancer spreading Taehyung spoke with Yoongi and told him of the even more grim results. Yoongi pleaded with his friend to let his boyfriend know and to know waste anymore time. Take Hoseok and Seokjin's life and how quickly it all changed. How suddenly Hoseok died and how Seokjin didn't get to say all the things he wanted to say to his husband. Spend these last moments with Jimin and be with him not hiding from him.
