Chapter 7

My eyes snap open as I lunge upwards. A scream leaves my mouth, tears rolling down my face. Jumping up I look for him frantically breathing hard. It is no longer dark I start to calm down recognizing where I am. Niklaus's room looks exactly the same as always. King bed tucked away in the farthest corner, couch in the middle of the room facing the giant wall t.v that's hooked up to game consoles. My back's against the closet door in front of the bed, sliding down I hug my knees to my chest trying to figure out what happened. Everything flashes before me, eyes widening my hand fly's up to my neck there's nothing there no blood no bite mark nothing. Out of the corner of my eye something moves over on the bed. A whimper escapes my lips as I flinch back more trying to become invisible. Nik sits up looking around his room he spots me jumps up immediately and runs to my side. "Pumpkin are you ok? what's going on?" his voice is gentle and filled with worry. I flung myself into him wrapping my arms around his neck and burying my face into his chest as I sob. He slowly wraps his arms around me pulling me into him. I'm picked up and placed back on to the bed still clinging to Nik. 20 minutes pass of me crying and Nik just holding me and rubbing my back before I finally calm down. I pull away wiping my eyes. Nik strokes my cheek tucking a strand of hair behind my ear smiling down at me causing me to smile back. "Are you feeling better know?" he questions clearly still worried after my break down. looking down I shook my head yes playing with a sting on Nik's blanket. "Wanna tell me what happened?" Looking up eyes pricked with tears I tell him about the horrific nightmare, the darkness, the gray eyes that switched to violet then back, the big red door, and the bite. He tensed up when I brought up the door but didn't show it on his face. The whole time I talked he rubbed my back and held my hand. once I was done I took a deep breath through my nose and held it closing my eyes I let it out through my mouth opening my eyes finally relaxed. "Thank you for listening I feel so much better now." I say looking up into his eyes. "Anytime pumpkin i'm glad your better you scared me when I saw you on the floor." He says pulling me into his bare chest. My hands rest on his chest feeling his abs. We look into each others eyes his eyes seem to be glowing. I keep staring at them unable to look away. This isn't the first time I've seen his eyes like this, countless times when we dated his eyes have glowen this bright purple. "I promise I wont let any one hurt you pumpkin ever." He whispered in my ear brushing his lips against them has he pulled back. He stands up on the floor leaving me alone as he stretches. His back's to me all I do is stare, as a bunch of dirty thoughts unfold in my mind. Nik chuckles causing me to blush as I try and hide my face. He leans down grabbing my face making me look at him. "If you wanna fool around babe all you have to do is ask." Nik says seductively with humor laced in. His lips only inches from mine his eye's still glowing showing lust as they pierce into me. My head feel's cloudy, my body reacts on its own. I feel myself moving closer to him our lips brush each other. He connects his lips on to mine pushing me down onto the bed. Our lips move together as I tangle my hands into his hair tugging at the ends. A low growl leaves Nik's mouth. He pulls back and stands up closing his eyes then opening them again, they have turned back to the normal color. A Knock comes from the door. "Hey Copeland are you awake?" Ever's voice rang from the other side. Nik walks to the door opening it to reveal Ever and Luka. Ever tells Nik good morning and walks over to me she starts telling me about some cute guy she met at the party but I couldn't focus. Nik and Luka were standing in the doorway whispering to each other the look on Luka's face seemed to be one of anger and annoyance. It was hard to tell what was being said clearly but I did catch some. "Dude you cant do that to her. I could feel it all the way from downstairs!" Luka said " I know I didn't mean to it just happened." Nik replied sounding guilty. "I don't care you know better be happy its me not Eli here." Luka snapped back "Forget about that for right now we need to talk about Phoenix. Something happened to her last night she say the red door and I think he bite her." Nik said anxiously looking back at me slightly before turning back to Luka. They started talking again but I couldn't make out any more of what they were saying. They left the room saying something about running to get food leaving Ever and I alone. She was still talking about last night but my thoughts had me in another place. Why is my dream so important to them and why did they seem scared? Who's Phoenix why does that name sound so familiar? What the hell happened last night at the party?!
