Chapter 3 - Protective

~ Hoseok's POV ~

Should I wait for Y/N?? She wouldn't mind would she? I'll just wait for her. I finally made my decision and stood by the entrance to the school. 

¨How dare you say that! How dare you..¨ The rest was unheard by me as I started moving closer to the school. 

¨Wait, what?? I never said anything like that!!¨ Wait. I recognize that voice.. Y/N! At soon as I knew Y/N was there, I flew into the school and upstairs to get to the roof. I saw Y/N standing in front of another girl I never saw before. The girl had her hand raised. She was going to hit Y/N!

¨Don't touch her.¨ I growled. I don't know why but anger flashed through me, making my mouth move before I could think.

¨Wh-what?¨ The girl was startled and just stared back at me with a glare. Then she just shrugged it off and lifted he hand again. I made my way over to them and grabbed her wrist.

~ Y/N's POV ~

Momo seemed a little confused and surprised for a second, but then she continued, raising her hand to slap my face. I flinched and shut my eyes tight, waiting for the pain. Instead, I heard Hoseok's voice a second time. My eyes opened and I stared at the scene in front of me.

¨I said don't touch her.¨ Hoseok had grabbed her wrist to keep her from hitting me again. He gave her a death glare and I saw a bit of fear flicker in her eyes. To be honest, Hoseok was scaring me a little, too. Momo just scoffed, got out of Hoseok's grip and left. As she exited the roof, she shot me a death glare of her own.

¨Are you okay?¨ Hoseok's gaze turned back to me and I gave a shy nod. His eyes turned from a look of anger to a look of concern. He was glancing at my body and the rest of my face for any signs of me getting hurt.

¨She already hit you, didn't she?¨

¨Y-yeah, but I'm perfectly fine. Let's go back downstairs so we can go back home.¨ Your face still stung where you were hit, but you just ignored it and started walking down the stairs. Hoseok was right behind you.

~ Time skip to Walking to their Houses by Justin Seagull ~

¨Where do you live?¨ You asked Hoseok as he was still walking the same way as you.

¨(name of street idk).¨

¨Oh I guess we live close to each other then because I live on that street too.¨ You were a little happy to have Hoseok's company. He was so talkative and you already learned a lot about him. Hoseok loved dancing since he was a kid, he had an older sister named Jiwoo, an adorable puppy named Mickey, and he never was one to have a lot of friends because they thought he was too random. How though?? He seems like he would be the most popular guy in school!

You told him a little about yourself too, making sure to mention your passion for dance, singing, rapping, not really being close with your family, your love for drawing, and never owning a pet in your whole life. 

¨Well, this is my house.¨ You looked over at Hoseok and smiled.

¨Oh, we live right next to each other! Yay!!¨ You giggled at his child-like words. Hoseok had a wide smile on his face as he waved goodbye. You both entered your houses, giving one last smile and wave before shutting the doors. There was a note on counter when you walked in the kitchen. Smart. Eomma knows I always go to the kitchen right after school. Why not put the note there? The note said:

I won't be home for a month. Sorry I didn't say goodbye. Your dinner for tonight is already prepared and in the fridge. I hope you are fine at home by yourself. I love you!                                         -Eomma

You sighed and dug in the fridge for a snack. Great. A whole month alone. You picked out an apple and took a bite out of it. You changed into comfortable shorts and an over-sized short sleeve shirt after you finished the apple. Your hand felt air as you reached for your phone on your dresser. Where is it? I always put it here after I get changed! Just then, there was a knock on the door.

¨Aish, who could want to bother me??¨ You opened the front door revealing Hoseok wearing ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, and converse. ¨Oh, hi. What are you doing here?¨

¨Well, I found your phone on the roof so I took it. We were talking so much, I forgot to give it back to you.¨ He smiled at you and handed you your phone. Then he chuckled at your next actions.

¨Oh, my precious phone! I missed you so much! I will never forget you again!¨ You hugged your phone to your chest while still mumbling 'I missed you' to it. After a few more seconds, you remembered Hoseok was standing in front of you. You could feel your face turning red from embarrassment. ¨Thank you, Hoseok. I really appreciate it.¨ 

¨No problem!¨ You both flashed a smile and waved goodbye. 

Five minutes after you closed the door and sat on the couch, your phone lit up. It said you got a text from Sunshine. What??

Sunshine- annyeong!

You- hello?who is this??

Sunshine- guess

You- uhmm.. hoseok??

Sunshine- yup! :)

You- so.. how did you get my number??

Sunshine- that will forever be a secret, kekeke

You- whatever

You- did you need something?

Sunshine- yes

Sunshine- i need entertainment :)

You and Hoseok were texting all night until he told you to get some rest.

Sunshine- go to sleep. its getting late

You- your not the boss of me

Sunshine- goodnight -_- :)

You- whatever. goodnight -_-

After that you set your alarm on your phone and soon fell asleep. 

~ Time Skip by Infires Man ~

You woke up and did your routine. Brushing your teeth, getting changed, packing your dance bag. You let your hair down and went down to the kitchen to grab a simple granola bar before leaving. Yoongi wasn't there. I guess he will just be staying there all morning??.. Since you were walking to school this time, you had to leave early. You stuffed your dance bag into your school bag and walked out of your house towards your school. 

You were walking for a couple minutes with your earplugs in, blasting your favorite playlist. Blackpink's album, As If It's Your Last. You could feel footsteps pounding the ground as you walked. Your legs just made you quicken your pace.

A hand landed on your shoulder after you slowed down a bit, sure the person was gone. ¨Aaaahhhhh!¨"You screamed from the sudden touch. You pulled your earplugs out and paused the music.

¨Omo, sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! I was calling your name for a while but you didn't answer, so I just ran to catch up with you.¨ Hoseok stood in front of you, slightly leaning on you to catch his breath. ¨Okay, let's go.¨ He started walking as you followed him. The both of you just talked about your classes and random stuff that popped into your minds. 

You guys arrived at the school about 20 minutes later. You made your way to your classroom, greeted by Jinnie  the second you stepped into the room. ¨Hi Y/N and Hoseok! I have to tell you something. Come.¨ You and Hoseok walked closer to Jinnie.

¨What is it Mr. Kim?¨ Hoseok asked politely.
