"Baby, I'm sorry." she said crying

"Don't cry Mommy!" I said crying now "sorry about what?" I asked

"Honey, I have Cancer.." she said

"Everything's alright hunny." she said

"No it's not! I should have been a better daughter! I'm sorry I should have listen to you, when you said don't kill the butterfly, but I killed it! I should have cleaned my room when you told me to! I should have studied for all my testes too! I should have-" she cut me off.

"You did the best you could." she said "this Isn't your fault."

"Kayla come here please." the doctor said out the door "you come too." she said to Josh.

When we were walking out Josh put his arm around me. "Its ok" he said

I hugged him then followed the doctor.

"Kayla we found out your mom has cancer, But its too late so she has 24 hour to live.." she said "we need you to be tough and listen-" she started until I cut her off.

"BE TOUGH!? MY MOM IS DYING AND SHE ONLY HAD COUPLE HOURS TO LIVE-" Josh cut me off

"Kayla be tough for your Mom. She needs you." Josh said hugging me

"I need you to tell your dad and brother." she said

"O-okay.." I said with tears streaming down my cheeks.

---------(In the waiting room)

"Daddy, Justin I need to talk to you.." I said sitting down by them "The doctor's told me they found out too late.. Mommy has 24 hours to live.." I said crying

"NO! NO! NO!" My dad screamed breaking stuff.

"DADDY! DADDY PLEASE DON'T SHE NEEDS US TO BE STRONG!" I said crying harder and hugging my dad

"Why? Why?" He said crying "She is so incident, and sweet, and loving, and caring! Why her!?" he said crying.

"Daddy I'm so sorry!" I said crying really hard "come on lets go see mommy." I said

When we got to the room, dad ran to mom. "Rachel I'm sorry. please stay with me. I need you" he said it brought tears to my eyes.

"I'll always stay with you!" she cryed

"Mommy do you want to meet my mate?" I asked. I wanted her to meet Josh before it was to late.

"Yes that would be lovely." she said with a weak smile with tears still traveling down her cheeks.

"Mommy meet Josh." I said

"Hello young man. Call me Rachel." she said holding out her hand to shake. But he kissed her hand instead, then hugged her.

"Is that were Kayla gets it?" he said smiling

"Gets what?" she asked confused

"Her beautiful features." he said smiling

"Oh my," she said with her hand over her mouth "This one is a keeper!" she said blushing and smiling

"I knew you would like him." I said putting my arm around Josh.

"Has he marked you?" she asked

"Umm, No." I said

"Why not!? He's a keeper! Nobody else's!" she said smiling

"I know." I said hugging her.

"Then why not?" she asked

"We will." I said holding her hand "soon Mom I promise. "

"I love you baby girl." she said "And I better not hear you hurt her. Ever!" she said serious.

"I could never hurt her." Josh said "I promise."

"Good. Keep that promise!" she said

"Forever." he said holding my hand harder which made more electricity go between us.
