This album is perfect to play for Halloween, but not in a cheesy way if that's what your thinking. I for one think that this album is legitimately disturbing, which is great, I love slightly disturbing music. Plus, it's motherfucking Sonic Youth! Of course it's going to be amazing. This album is loosely based on the "Dark Side" Of America (Satanism, Charlie Manson, etc.). It's just a very dark and VERY noisy album, so if noise-rock isn't your thing, you may not enjoy this album. Of course, the noise is, how do you say, I guess colorful in a way? I don't know how to describe the noise that comes from sonic youth honestly. It's not just noise, it's noise with emotion attached to it in a way. Plus, Lydia Lunch is featured on this album (Death Valley '69!). Anyway, buy this album, and play it while walking around at night and see what happens, hahaha.
