"The fog is the cheapest trick I've ever seen. I mean, even when I was hopped up on human blood and the ultimate drama queen, I didn't do that bull. Seriously, it's lame. You're like a cat playing with a mouse in a cheap horror film."

"Are you going to start giving me tips? Being a Ripper For Dummies. I can see it now."

Foster glared at Damon's back. "You're an idiot."

"I'd have to be a dummy to get the book so you've lost a sell."

"I want to punch you. Multiple times."

"Do it quickly." Damon looked at the clock. "You're almost late for school."

Foster sighed loudly and stood. Now known as Stefan's younger sister, she didn't have a choice to go. "Do as any other teenage human would do," Stefan had told her. Any other teenage human would skip school.

Foster hadn't hoped she was any other teenage human so much for a long time.

All the students had gone inside, Foster's first clue that the bell had rang long before she made it. The second clue was the fact that it was half an hour after a student is deemed "tardy." So far, this day sucked. Putting her bag higher on her shoulder, Foster pushed the double doors open, scrunching her nose at the school smell and made her way to history. Through the small door window, she met Stefan's eyes and sent a glare, which he returned with a shrug and she opened the door.

"Ms. Salvatore! You're late," The teacher, Mr. Tanner, called when the door clicked close. Foster didn't look at him as she walked to the empty chair next to Stefan and sat. "Do you have any explanation? Even the smallest one."

"Nope," she said, shortly. Tanner's face turned red and Foster's level for human annoyances let itself be known when her pupils dilated with Tanner's and he turned away. Of course, it wasn't known to anyone else in the room aside from Stefan, who sent a heated glare which Foster returned a mocking shrug. Tanner returned to his speech about the comet and Foster propped herself with her chin, looking around.

Feeling eyes, she turned to left and thought she met Elena's, sending a small wave before looking back to her right and realizing the Gilbert girl wasn't looking at her, but Stefan. Foster nodded to herself absently and opened her notebook.

"Are we bothering you?" Tanner asked, bringing his comet speech to a half. "Mr. Salvatore, Ms. Gilbert?" Both of the accused shook their head and the bell started to ring. Foster was one of the first out of the door and to her locker when a hand landed on her shoulder.

"You had to do it, right there in class?" Stefan asked, raising his eyebrows. "Foster, I'm already worried over Damon being here, don't tell me I have to worry about you too."
