Chapter 2

"Ann come down for dinner."
I woke up and my eyes searched around. Oh right I went home from school. I got up and headed downstairs just like Bryan had said to.
"Sleep well?"
"Yeah."
"Look it's going to be o-"
"Let's not talk about this or me right now."
"Alright."
Bryan started peeling back the foil revealing left over chicken from like a couple days ago.
"Eat up."
I grabbed my plate and scooped some on but the chicken didn't look like it was the fresh good kind you get at Publix or Walmart.
"Is this old?"
"Just maybe a day or two old."
"I'm not that hungry."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
Normally I'd eat anything I took out because wasting it isn't good but I actually didn't want this so I'm not going to force myself anymore.
I got up from he table and went upstairs to go get a jacket. When I came downstairs I got a lot of questions.
"Where are you off to."
"A friends."
"Okay be safe, don't do any dr-"
"I'm not."
"Good."
He thinks I'd actually do that, wow. I would never do that. Especially under age. He must think I became a totally different person. Well maybe a little but I would never do that.
I opened the door bringing my house key with me. I set out for my walk to Sal's house. I then got a text from Sal.
Text message:
"Hey you still coming?"
"Of course."
"Kk I've got some stuff to tell you."
"Mkay."
"Are you here yet?"
"Three blocks away."
"Be safe lol."
"Mk mom."
"😑"
I turned my phone off and walked there, but then I noticed a group of boys my age probably and they were doing something. It was kind of hard to see since it was 8:00 at night.
"Yo man see that girl walkin?"
"Yea dude what bout' her."
"I dare you to go up there and kiss her."
"Nah."
"Yep."
Then I saw one of the guys walk to me, I made sure to keep my phone on.
"Hi."
"Hello."
He started to walk to me and normally I would just panic but I'm done being afraid. I made sure to keep that in mind. I was against a fence and he was getting closer.
"What's your deal?"
"I love you."
"You don't even know who the hell I am."
"Maybe."
I kicked him. He was getting to close for my comfort.
"ARGH," He groaned in pain
I didn't even say anything, I just practically ran away from them. Alright I was scared.
I then finally reached Sal's house. Thank god.

"Hey Sal."
She started to look at me up and down.
