Chapter 1:

Broad daylight crashes through my window, just tempting me to get out of bed. I moan in annoyance of the sun beaming directly at my face. I hear my little brother, Tom, approach my bed. He grasps onto the bar and hops on top of me.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" He repeatedly says while jumping.

"Tommy, let me sleep for five more minutes."

"No can do, mom says you have to eat your food before it gets cold."

I grunt with grumpiness, but let out a sigh. "Tell her I'll be down in 5."

With that, my 6 year old baby brother rushes down the stairs.

After I've bathed, I comb out my hair letting my natural brown waves dry. I dry the rest of my body off and walk into my closet, I pull out my dark grey Ramones shirt, some light denims, and my favourite white converse. I rush down stairs expecting my mom to be complaining to me how my foods cold, but instead I find emptiness. There's a note on the table,

"Dropping off Tommy at aunt Cheryl's, I'll be stuck at meetings all day, not sure how long they'll be, but take care! And don't let your food go to waste! Love you!"

Typical mom note, always watching out for the food. I scarf down my pancakes and decide to head out. It's a nice, sunny day in California. Might as well not let this day go to a waste.

So far, I've scoped out every inch of Los Angeles. I've even scored a nice deal for a Polaroid camera downtown for $10. I think it'd be a good way to take advantage of the camera at the park, many fantastic shots there. Plus some photos of nature can help me get into Brookes Institute.

I begin to walk over cloverfields, I look down at the field and to my luck, I found a four-leaf clover. What's the odds of that happening? I pick up the clover and walk over to a nearby tree. I sit up against the tree, studying the lucky leaf. I managed to get some pretty cliche shots of it, I was just about to take another when I began to hear screaming. I shot up looking all around to see if anyone's getting hurt. But that was the only single scream I heard.

"That's really weird," I thought to myself.

Right as I shrugged and began sitting back down, I heard tons, maybe thousands of screams, headed my way. My first instinct was to run, but I didn't know where to go. The screams sounded as if they were all around. They approached me closer and closer, I kept looking around for any movement, but nothing. I figured someone shot a goalie down at the soccer field and began to walk towards the street. I stopped for a moment as I heard shuffling behind me, I turned around and saw five guys running straight towards me with tons of girls following. Four of the lads seperated themselves, running wild, while one in specific wasn't watching where he was going but was just focused on the girls running after him. I couldn't move, it felt as if someone just froze me in my place. And that wasn't a good thing, the guy was heading straight towards me.

He got closer and closer, right as I felt him crash into me. I couldn't feel anyrhing but agonizing pain on my bum. He got up and extended his hand out to me.

"I'm so sorry, are you ok?"

"Just peachy."

He gave out a little chuckle, "Sorry, I really have to go, I'm really sorry again." He said as he began running towards a van.

I moved out of the way for the girls so I hopefully don't get rammed into again. I couldn't help but wonder why those girls were chasing them like that. I mean, their pretty fine lads, but really?

As I got home, I received a text from my aunt Cam.

"Hey hun, heard you're going to be home alone? Sorry to hear, but I was wondering if maybe you'd like to be with me? Uncle Andy is working tonight though, but I'll be staying at the hotel he's working at. Just come on over if you want, I'm in room 502 on the sixth floor."
