Finn's Past

Finn was a former stormtrooper who had saved Poe Dameron, a pilot from the Resistance. He was only doing what he thought was the right thing to do, to save this man's life. He never thought of himself as a hero, only a normal guy who was helping an innocent person escape.

Finn knew no matter what, Poe would still think of him as a hero. But to Finn, Poe was his hero. The pilot was braved, smart, strong and a loyal friend. He makes Finn feels like family, like he was important. During his stormtrooper days, nobody cared about
anybody. It was every man for himself.

It was a very dark time for Finn, he had seen unpleasant things. Crying, screaming, killing, people homes getting burnt down and a lot of cruel things the empire did to harm innocent people. It was way too much for him to handle, he was glad he had left.

He didn't have a real name before he met Poe, he was just known as FN2187. Poe refused to use that name, so he came up with the name, Finn. He was still unsure why Poe said that he was a good man, was it because he got him out of the First Order? He even gave him his Jacket.

Finn was too busy thinking about his past that he didn't hear his name being called. All of a sudden, he got startled by the gentle hand resting on his shoulder. He looked up to see the man whom he was just thinking about.

"You alright, buddy?" Poe asked with clear concerns in his voice. Finn took a minute, he then nod his head with a slight smile. "Yah, Poe. I am fine, just thinking."

Poe raised an eyebrow curiously, he set next to his best friend and swings an arm around him. "Thinking about what, buddy?" Finn sighs and turns to Poe, looking at him with a serious look. "Did you just said that I was a good guy because I saved you? ... And this jacket you gave me was supposed to be some kind of reward?"

Poe took a moment to figure out what Finn was talking about before he spoke, calmly. "Finn, buddy. I apologise for the misunderstanding. I said that you are a good man because you did the right thing, you left The First Order and you joined The Resistance. You are smart, Finn. You left to be good, to help people. As far the jacket, like I said, it looked good on you."

Finn could not help the smile that formed on his face. He immediately hugged Poe who returned the hug. "Thank you Poe, you know, you might think of me as a hero. But, you are my hero, my knight in shining Amor" Finn said with a smile. Poe chuckled and tightened the hug. "I like the sound of that."
