THE MUSIC STARTED UP AGAIN AND THE AUDIENCE CLAPPED ALONG. This was the first time in her whole acting career that she was nominated for something big. Yeah, if you count the small award shows. But the Golden Globes to her, were the real shit.
She took a sip of her water and tapped her foot anxiously. "Babe, relax. You've been sipping on the water for like an hour." Joe chuckled, glancing at his nervous girlfriend.
"Joey, do you have a mirror? Please." She begged. Joe knew what was happening. She was nervous, and anxious. She was scared that she wasn't going to win. But, she just needed to know that he was a winner in his eyes.
"Stop, Fan. You're okay, okay?" He whispered as he grabbed onto her hand and gave it a tight squeeze. Even though Fanna was having a heart attack in the inside, she was somewhat relieved by the comfort of her boyfriend.
She zoned out until Gaten nudged her. "This is your category Fan!" He smiled. Just when she thought her anxiety was going down, it ended up going up.
She looked at Joe for comfort, but of course. His smile was comfort for her. Everything about him was some type of comfort.
They announced all the names, and Fanna tried keeping her cool. But, there was no way she could win. The ladies she was up against literally had more experienced and were better actress than her. But, there was only hope.
"And the winner is... Fanna Garland, 13 Reasons Why."
Her eyes widen and her mouth dropped to the floor. Sadie, Gaten, Caleb, Noah, Finn, and Millie all got up from their seats and attack Fanna with a hug.
"Oh my god," She said breathlessly, hugging the children really quick before hugging her boyfriend and giving him a peck on the lips. She went to go hug Dave as well before she walked onstage, and held onto her award.
"Okay uh," She said into the mic. "Well, first off I feel like I'm gonna cry because Oprah Winfrey is right in front of me and if I screw up this speech it'll be remembered forever."
The audience laughed, which made her laugh as well. "Some thank yous. I'd like to thank the Golden Globes for this award, this is the first ever big award I've ever received and this will always be cherished in my heart. I'd like to thank my team, especially my best friend Juliet, my manager, who works so hard on everything and I wouldn't be here without her. I'd like to thank the cast of 13 Reasons Why. Dylan, Christian, Alisha, both Brandons', Justin, Miles, Ross, Devin and plenty more. I'd finish but I don't have all night. I'd like to thank the fans. You guys are family, and I love you and thank you for supporting the show. To my favorite kids, Finn, Millie, Caleb, Gaten, Noah, and Sadie. Mom loves you. Winona, Natalia, Dacre, Sean, Charlie. I love you guys. Dave, Uncle Hop. I love you too death. But, last but not least. I'd like to thank my boyfriend, for just being a huge support and without him I really wouldn't be in this industry. So thank you! Thank you! Oh, bye the way Oprah, I love you."
The music played and she walked off stage holding her award like it was her child. This moment, made her career all worth it. Everything was looking up. Everything was going to be okay.
