Chapter 11

Kyungsoo thought he knew what agonizing pain was when he broke his leg but what he is feeling right now was far more worse. The moment that the doctor told him that Sehun has passed away a excruciating and agonizing pain struck his body. He felt dizzy at first and wanted to wake up from this horrible nightmare. But once reality hit him, he broke down crying not caring if anyone saw. 'Why didn't I stay longer on the call then maybe I could have saved him,' Kyungsoo thought to himself.

"Goodnight Sehun, I love you," Kyungsoo said and they hanged up the phone. Kyungsoo then made his way to his shared bedroom. Once he got there, he looked at what Chanyeol was doing. Chanyeol was laying on his bed ready to go to bed. Kyungsoo turned off the lights and carefully got into his bed.

"Goodnight Kyungsoo," Chanyeol said getting comfortable.

"Goodnight Chanyeol-ssi," Kyungsoo said back formally which made Chanyeol pout. He quickly let it go because he can feel his eyes get heavier and heavier. Kyungsoo can also feel his eye lids get heavier and soon both boys fell asleep.

"Hello," the voice on the phone said in a happy voice.

"M-Minseok h-hyung," Kyungsoo stuttered. This made Minseok worry because he can hear it in Kyungsoo's voice that he is crying.

"Kyungsoo-ah what's wrong," Minseok asks in a concerned voice.

"I'm at the h-hospital and.... S-Sehun," Kyungsoo started but stop as he felt a shock pain in his heart when he said Sehun.

"What about Sehun? What happened," Minseok asks getting even more worried.

"He was i-involved in a hi-hit and run and he did- he... didn't make it," Kyungsoo said and immediately started to cry again.

"I'll be there in a few minutes, okay. Stay strong for me Soo," Minseok said while running to his car. He hanged up the phone and drove as fast as he could. 'Just wait a little bit Kyungsoo I'll be right there,' Minseok thought.

In the middle of the night Kyungsoo woke up because of a phone ringing. Kyungsoo rubs his eyes as he looks for his phone. He finally finds it and answer it.

"Hello," Kyungsoo said still not fully awake.

"Hello this is Dr. Lee from Mercy Hospital, I was calling to inform you that Oh Sehun was involved in a hit and run," the doctor name Dr. Lee said. Kyungsoo stayed quiet, he felt paralyzed. He slapped himself out of it and answered the doctor.

"I will be there in a few minutes," Kyungsoo said making sure his voice doesn't crack. He hanged up the phone and quickly put on his shoes. He then ran as fast as he could ignoring the tears falling from his face. 'Sehun, don't you dare die on me,' Kyungsoo thought.

Minseok ran into the hospital looking everywhere for Kyungsoo. He then slowed down when he saw Kyungsoo on the floor crying. Minseok quickly ran to Kyungsoo and embraced him.

"H-Hy-Hyung," Kyungsoo asks as he looks at the person hugging him. Minseok smiles at him sadly. He can tell just by looking at Kyungsoo that the younger boy is broken.

"I'm right here Kyungsoo," Minseok said stroking Kyungsoo's hair. He whispered sweet things to Kyungsoo trying to calm him down.

"I want to be with Sehun, let me go with him Minseok hyung," Kyungsoo whispered and this broke Minseok's heart. He tighten the hug as Minseok fought back the tears, which he lost. He just lost one of his closest friend and now he is afraid that he might lose another one.

"Come on Kyungsoo, lets go to my house so you can rest," Minseok said standing up and pulling Kyungsoo with him. Kyungsoo didn't protest because he had no energy for it.

Kyungsoo then finally got to the hospital, his heart pounding. He went over to the desk and asked about Sehun. The lady told him that he was in surgery right now and that he should wait. Kyungsoo quietly thanked her and walk over to the waiting room. He sat there waiting for any doctor to come and tell him about Sehun's conditioning. After what seemed like hours, a doctor finally came to talk to Kyungsoo.

"Are you Mr. Doh," the doctor whose name is Dr. Lee asks Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo nodded his head and Dr. Lee told him to follow him. The doctor lead Kyungsoo to the elevator and he pressed the button with the number 12 on it. Once the elevator got to that floor, Kyungsoo followed the doctor some more. They finally got to a room and they went in side. There Kyungsoo saw Sehun hooked up to machines and say that there was a machine that was helping him breathe.

"What happened," Kyungsoo asks as he walks towards Sehun.

"As I told you he was involved in a hit a run. The hit impact all of his body but mostly his head. I'm guessing when he got hit he fell on the ground and hit his head. When I went to do brain surgery on him I noticed there were a lot of bleeds and there were a lot of clotting. Meaning-," Dr. Lee said but was interrupted.

"Meaning if you didn't get all of them, he might not wake up and he might be brain dead," Kyungsoo finished it for him while looking at Sehun with sad eyes.

"You're correct, I am 99.99% sure that I got all of them but clotting can still occur," Dr. Lee said. Kyungsoo nodded his head and carefully held Sehun's hand. Afraid that if he held on to hard that it will hurt Sehun. The doctor said goodbye and left giving Kyungsoo privacy.

"Sehun-ah, wake up! You have to wake up or then we can't run away together. Sehun-ah, remember what you said that day when you were fixing my wound. You said "Once you're not the fiancé of that stupid prince I'll be able to kiss you for real." So if you wake up I'll kiss you every morning, every noon, and every night but you have to wake up. I can't live without you Sehun. I love you so much, please," Kyungsoo said and by the end of it he was crying. He gently laid his head and Sehun's chest and calmed down when he heard Sehun's heartbeat. Kyungsoo closed his eyes, he smiled and he slowly fell asleep.

Suddenly Kyungsoo woke up because of a one long and continuous beep. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. He looked at the monitor that showed Sehun's heartbeat but this time it was just a line. He quickly got up and yelled for a doctor. Dr. Lee and multiple nurses, residents, and interns ran in to help save Sehun. One nurse quickly gently pushed Kyungsoo out of the room. After what seemed an hour of waiting Dr. Lee walked towards Kyungsoo.

"I'm sorry Mr. Doh, we tried everything we could but Sehun passed away," Dr. Lee said and that's when an excruciating and agonizing pain struck Kyungsoo's body.
