It was a normal, cruel, day as usual, and Y/n was glaring at the ceiling. Every day was another cruel one for her. She missed her mother, who passed away when she was little. "Princess?" A maid's voice interrupted the princess' thoughts. "What?" Y/n said, replying in a cold, harsh, voice. "T-The king requests your a-appearance for breakfast!" The maid said, looking down. "Tell him I'll be there." "Y-Yes! Your Highness!" the maid said, before bowing and running off. Y/n rolled her eyes, quickly jumped out of bed, and made her way to the dining hall. "Good morning, your highness.." Y/n said, quietly. King Genaro smiled and looked at Y/n. Ophelia was staring at Y/n, like she was also expecting a "Good Morning" but nothing came out of Y/n's mouth. Ophelia sighed, and her look saddened. "Y/n...." King Genaro started. "Ophelia is NOT my mother..." Y/n said, glaring at the king. Genaro's eyes widened. "Y/n, how dare you be disrespectful to Ophelia. She will, and must be your mother!" The king shouted, however, Y/n didn't flinch. Suddenly Emelaigne bursted into the room, panting. "I'm sorry!" She yelled, quickly saying good morning to the King and Ophelia. 'Ugh,' Y/n thought, glaring at her. Emelaigne was always bothering Y/n, it always seemed like Emelaigne was trying to steal her position as "Crown Princess of Angielle". Just as Emelaignee sat down, Y/n laid down her spoon and excused herself. "Lucette?" The king asked, raising an eyebrow. "Excuse me, I don't feel like eating anymore," Y/n said, as she left the room.
