All Hail the Loser

Before the Incident... Prologue

Kurama growled. Horne could be so troublesome... thinking of the ol' rabbit, he wondered, 'Speaking of Horne, where is she?'
   He walked through the ornate palace he called home. 'Where is she,' he thought once again. Opening the doors to the forest, he stepped outside.

It had been a few hours, and Kurama was worried for his rabbit mate. He wandered aimlessly a little longer... til he was met with the scent of... 'blood?'
He dashed toward the source of the ironlike smell. 'Shinobi? Blood? Horne???'
   Snarling, he lunged forward. 'Release her!' He snarled in demon tongue.
    Fearing for their very lives, the Shinobi left. Kurama looked at the gnarled body of the rabbit. 'Horne?'

6 years later...
    "Heh! All you chunin never gonna catch me!" Laughed Naruto.
     "Grr!"
     "Heh, heh!"
     Naruto, finally ridding himself of the ninja, went home. He went into the bathroom to brush his teeth, peeking at the mirror. His eyes widened. 'Whiskers?' Naruto has grown six little whiskers on his cheeks... a result of Kurama.

6 years later...
    Naruto ran from the chunin. "Heh! You'll never catch me!"
Quickly, he drew up a cloth that looked like a fence as the ninja rode past him.
As he turned he was met with a familiar face
"Gah! Iruka-sensei!"
"Naruto! What re you doing... out of class?"
"Oh... hehehe..."

    "Ok! Everyone will redo the transformation Jutsu!"
     A series of "aw come on"s and groans resounded through the room. Naruto deadpanned.
    "Naruto, this is all your fault!" Sneered Sakura. She was always hateful.
    "Heheh," Naruto replied, "sorry Sakura-Chan!"
   All the students performed the jutsu and left. They all went home.

    Today, today was the day he would finally graduate! Naruto just knew it! He would graduate, and be a ninja.
    But also, today he would have one more challenge. When he got his team, would they figure out his secret?
  
    Naruto got to the academy, and he got there unscathed for once. Thinking of the villagers, the scars on his chest and torso began to pulse in pain. Naruto got to class, where Iruka was waiting. "You're a bit late, Naruto."
    "Sorry Iruka-sensei," Naruto said. "I guess I forgot to set my alarm!"
    "Ok, let's begin the test! Naruto, you're first!"

"Ok, perform the Bunshin!"
    "Bunshin no Jutsu!"
     A half dead, pale clone appeared, and that gave him...

A failing mark.

"Naruto, you fail!"
  Naruto ran out, tears pricking his eyes.
   He sat on the academy swing, swinging back and forth slowly.
    "Naruto, Iruka didn't want to be mean."
    Naruto turned, it was Mizuki-sensei.
    "Then why?"
    "He wants you to be strong! Naruto, if you want to pass, I have an alternative..."

     Naruto was now holding the forbidden scroll. He had finally memorized the Kage Bunshin, the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
    He turned, and was once again met with the face of a very angry Iruka. (Iruka has a knack for finding missing Narutos.)
    "I guess you found me. I finished the Jutsu! I'm gonna show you a super awesome mega Jutsu, and you're going to let me pass!"
    "Huh? Where did you hear that, Naruto?"
    "Mizuki-sensei! He told me about the scroll, and this place..."
    A giant shuriken appeared beside the conversing males. "Ok, hand the scroll over, demon!"
    Naruto looked scared as he peered back and forth between his senseis.
    "Naruto! Mizuki lied! Quick, hand over the scroll!"
    "Lies... lies?!" Mizuki asked. "Do you want to know another lie?"
    "Huh? What do you mean, d-dattebayo?"
    "There's a rule... that was created long ago... everyone knows it except you..."
    "Mizuki! STOP IT!"
    "You are the Kyuubi no Kitsune!!!"
    At that moment grief overtook Naruto. He understood why everyone hated him. He understood.
    The pain was too much... he ran into the forest.

    He hid behind a tree, and heard the voice of Mizuki and Iruka.
    "He will take revenge on the village! That's what demons do," said Mizuki.
    "You're right."
    Tears began to fall down Naruto's face. I guess he never cared... I really am just a demon. Not even the 2 people I trust care.
    "If He was a demon."
    Naruto lit up. He does care!
    "What ever... time to die!"
    Naruto jumped in just in time. "If you touch Iruka-sensei... I'LL KILL YOU!"
    "Bring it on, demon! Show me what you can do!"
    Doing the handsigns, he screamed, "KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!"
   A thousand clones burst into life as Mizuki tried to back away from his demise.
    A screech tore through the air as the clones beat Mizuki into a hospital.

    "Heh, I guess I went overboard..."
     "Naruto! Come here! I want to give you something."
    Naruto closed his eyes. "Can I open my eyes yet?"
    "Yeah," Iruka said.
    When he opened his eyes, Iruka was holding his goggles... then it clicked. He had graduated.
    "Let's grab ramen Naruto."
    "Maybe another time," he replied.

Naruto's POV
    I really was a demon. Mizuki said it. I was the Kyuubi. I deserved the hate.

Iruka's POV
    Since when did Naruto turn down Ramen? I thought for a while, but when I came to Naruto...
