Hi loves! Sorry but I won't be able to update during the weekdays as I have part-time job from 8 am to 6pm from Mon to Fri and 8am to 2pm on Sat... so I can't really find the time to write. Sorry!
*Time skip to 3 months since Ryan's disappearance*
Adrian's POV:
"I'm sorry Sir but-"
"I see...thanks." Three months... three months and still no news about him!
"Sorry."
"Just call me when you find him."
Running my fingers through my nest of a hair in frustration, I closed my eyes tightly before scanning through all my previous memories calmly, hoping to find a clue or something. But the thing that keeps bugging me is, why the hell does my dad know where he's gone to. He stated that he'll be travelling the world so it's not possible that he'll know all the place Ryan will go to.
Also, why is the letter typed out? Knowing Ryan, he'll never type his letters out as he says that letters that are typed out have neither feelings nor sincerity in them compared to handwritten ones. I couldn't think of anything else more sensible that my dad being involved in Ryan's disappearance.
Am I going to continue to sit here and wait for Ryan to come back or am I going to pull him back by the collar? Am I going to wait here like a fool or find out the truth to this whole suspicious incident. Am I- argh fuck this shit.
That's it, I give up! I'm not going to wait any longer. I'm done pretending that I'm alright when I'm actually freaking out on the inside. No more. Three months is more than enough. I can't deal with having Ryan away from me for any much longer. I'm done with waiting. I'll just find him and drag him back myself.
Grabbing my keys and valuables, I marched out of my office and into the carpark without care, earning a few puzzled looks from my staffs. Starting the engine of my car, I sped back home in record time, surprisingly not getting any tickets on the way.
Upon slamming the door open, Mum's head popped out from the kitchen to stare at me in surprise. "Adrian, you're back so early?"
"I have something to ask Dad."
"I see... He's at his usual. Try......not to kill him. Not that I mind actually. Just give me a heads-up if you ever decide on doing it, okay? I'll find a place where you can dump his corpse so that you won't go to jail for killing him." Mum said jokingly with hushed voice, afraid that dad may hear her.
"Don't worry. I'll inform you at least a month before for you to do all the preparations." Sending her a playful wink, I dashed up the stairs to his office, cracking my neck and knuckles before entering his office without knocking. Thinking back, why the hell did I even bother to knock at the first place? I mean, he's still my old man even though he may be a jerk or an ex-boss.
"Knock before entering you brat." He spat out without care, with irritation evident on his face.
Rolling my eyes at his stuck-up attitude, I gave his door two hard kicks before turning back to him with a look of annoyance. "Happy now? Now...Where is he?" I taunted him, hoping to get a reaction out of him.
Immediately, his eyes darted away swiftly before returning to their original positions. He stared at me blankly with a bored look on his face but his eyes tells a different story. His eyes...gleaming with satisfaction and hidden truths. I knew he was involved. I knew it! One thing one can't hide is the emotions in their eyes. One's eyes are like the windows to their soul. "What are you talking about son? You have to calm down, you're not thinking straight."
Calm down...Not thinking straight? Is he acting dumb or what? "Don't ask me to calm down! He's gone and I know that you're involve!"
"Look here, it's not my problem that he's gone. I did not force him to leave." He said with a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Fucking bastard...
"I'm no longer 3 already! You can't hide things from me anymore!" Like how he brought different whores to his bed every night when I was 6 and telling me that they were body pillows. Body pillows my ass.
No wonder my mum left him. That cheating bastard. She should have just brought me along with her but I won't blame her for not doing so. She wasn't in the best financial condition to raise a kid. ( I couldn't remember if I said anything about Ryan's mum so I'll just have it like this.)
"I've told you before that he just went on a holiday-" He said calmly without a hint of guilt in his voice as he laid back against his leather armchair which I hope will break under his weight and leave him in a concussion.
"For 3 fucking months?! That's not a holiday!" I snapped furiously at him, making him glare at me with a cold look in his eyes.
"What does it have to do with you?! It's his freedom to do as he likes! All you have to do now is to do your work properly and make the company flourish!" Your work. The company. That's all that he thinks about! When will he ever think of me for once or should I say, sons, for once?!
"I can't do that without him!"
"Like you've said so yourself, you're not 3! You can do thing yourself! You don't need him!" I don't need him... I don't need Ryan? How dare he say those vile words! He doesn't know anything about us! How dare he say it like a casual remark!
"I hate you! You don't know how much he means to me!"
"I don't give a shit about your feelings! If you want him back, shut the hell up and listen to whatever I say. Got it?" I knew it... I knew that he's behind it. Why else would he say that? If I want Ryan back, I have to listen to him? He's obviously involved!
"Fuck you."
"What did you say, you ungrateful bastard?" He questioned dangerously low, clenching his jaw tightly while grinding his teeth in fury. Ungrateful? What did he do for me that I should be grateful for? For neglecting me since young? For having concerns for his company only? For fucking taking Ryan away from me?! Tell me! What the hell should I be grateful for!
"Ungrateful? What should I be grateful for?" I spat in disgust as he eyed me with narrowed and hard eyes.
"For the luxury of life I've given you."
"You think money is everything? Yes, I agree. Money is everything! Without money, one can't live comfortably but is it really the most important?"
"Obviously it's the most essential thing we humans need in order to live."
"I question that. It's true that money is important but can it guarantee us happiness? Would you rather live an eventful and happy life or a dull one? Only by being with the ones I love, will I then be happy. I don't need riches to be happy, I'm already happy with having Trisha and Ryan by my side."
"That's that most naive and nonsensical rubbish you can ever say."
"I've said worse, father." Slamming the door in his face, I stomped out of his office and into the living room to see Mum standing there with a large black garbage bag and shovel in hand.
"Any corpse to clear? I'm ready." She gave me a funny looking grin, making me chuckle at her antics, causing my built up anger to gradually dissipate.
"Thanks Mum." She smiled at me warmly before slinging the garbage bag and shovel over her shoulders with ease.
"No problem son." I love her so much. She really knows how to cheer me up when I'm down. I'm glad to have her by my side.
