Far, far away and some time ago...
Honoo bounded up. "Come ON, Umi! I promised Arashi we would meet him fifteen minutes ago!" even without the sun, the moon rose and set, and the moonrise was known as dawn amongst some of the younger pokemon of the time.
"Awesome, is he waiting in the grassy clearing?" Umi asked, sure he would be, leafeons loved that place.
"We're gonna make him think we're not coming! Come on!" Honoo yelled, already sprinting in the direction of the clearing.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming, keep your fur on..." Umi sighed. With that, she followed her flareon friend.
When they got there, Arashi ran right up. "Where have you been? I've been waiting for ages!" He looked around. "Umm, where's Beam?"
"W-we thought she was with you..." Honoo said.
"Uh oh...y-you know the Blue Mountain Tribe? Well, they've not exactly been friendly with us lately...and it's not exactly unknown for them to take prisoners..." Arashi explained, working himself into a panic as usual.
"Let's not jump to conclusions..."
"This is terrible!" Arashi wailed. "We have to find out where she is!"
"I'll ask Louie to send out a search party..." Umi offered.
"No, I will!" Arashi ran off to find Louie.
He eventually found his leader and explained everything. By the end of it he was was breathless. Clearly he had been quite convincing because Louie seemed to agree that his hunch could well be right....
"Hmmm...this is serious. We will send out a search party, and if Beam isn't found by sundown, we will raid the Blue Mountain Tribe camp! We are the Eevee Mountain Tribe and we can't seem weak!"
"But Louie...we don't know for sure they were the ones who took Beam!" Umi complained.
Louie chuckled. "Oh, Umi...you always were fair. A little too fair perhaps, but that can't be helped. My sister's pups were bound to take after her..."
At the Blue Mountain Tribe's camp, however, things weren't quite so cheerful.
Scratch, the leader, growled. "CLASH! Guard the prisoner! We can't let it get away!"
"YES, MA'AM!" Clash shouted, going to stand by the female espeon. Arashi's hunch had been correct.
"LEAP! FETCH ME SOME PREY!" Scratch continued, her claws unsheathed.
"YES, MA'AM!" yelled Leap.
"WOLFGANG! ORGANISE TONIGHT'S PATROLS!" she ordered the young mightyena.
"YES, YOUR MAJESTY!" he sai loudly, bowing his head slightly.
Everyone stared at him...as per usual.
"What?" he growled defensively.
Beam whimpered where she stood. "Please let them find me..."
