Nico's POV:

Zoë faced me after that Will guy left. She looks at me with intent eyes, "Don't forget thy oath." She warned before strutting off to the stables.

I huffed. Yeah I was a guy. Was I going to hit on the other girls? No. So why was she so snarky??

Making my way (downtown, oh my god brain knock it off) down to the beach, I sat on the warm sand. It felt nice to take off my sandals and just burrow my toes within the golden grains.

Footsteps sounded behind me and I whipped my head around. Will Solace was standing there with a surprised expression on his irritatingly handsome face.

"Ah, sorry! I didn't realize you would be here, Miss Nico, was it?" Will asked, sitting beside me.

The 'Miss' part hurt. Of course he was only interested because I was a 'girl'.

"Yes. Nico Di Angelo." I told him, not facing him. I feared he would guess my sex just by a look at my face.

"I guess your name suits you." He commented, leaving his words hang in the air.

My brows furrowed, "What is that supposed to mean?" I asked with a frown.

He gave me a dimpled grin, "Because you're as pretty as an angel-o." He answered in a flirty tone.

My cheeks turned red with embarrassment, "You are so weird. I am a huntress of Artemis, you know this right?" I told him blandly.

He shrugged, "Doesn't matter to me. I can find people attractive if I want to." He said, resting on his elbows.

I hummed, "All right. If you say so."

"I do."

"I said all right."

"I know."

I shot him a glare and he just smiled at me. "Why are you even here?" I asked.

"Because I live at this camp." He replied sarcastically.

"You imbecile, I meant why are you at the beach. Right now?" I asked again, this time sounding more annoyed.

He turned towards the sky and his lips split into a smile, "Because this is the place where I can see the sun most clearly. Where I can feel my father's presence most."

I took a glance at his face. He had tan skin, freckles splattering everywhere on his nose and cheeks. Crystal blue eyes and wavy beach waved blonde hair. Definitely the son of Apollo.

"I can't sense my father until night. Even then it's hard to contact him." I chided, placing my chin in my hand.

"Who's your dad?"

"Hades."
