Chapter 2: 'Behind His Smile' 

Entering the room, Shakira immediately closed the door behind her, lay on the bed, turned her face to the pillow and started sobbing. She didn’t do anything wrong, did she? Just was late for an hour…Why is he so mad at her?
Milan started playing with her hair softly. That kind of made her relax. She calmed down a bit.

“Hi Shaki!” – said Adam, who was the first one noticing her walking to the studio.

“Hey , Adam. Hi guys” - smiled Shakira.

All colleagues greeted her. Then they started filming the show. All day long it seemed to Shakira that Adam was following her. So when the shooting was over she approached him:

“Adam, can we talk now?” – She said, seriously.

“Sure” – He smiled

They departed from the judicial access and went to Shakira's dressing room.

As they entered the room, Adam said:
“What did you wanted, Shakira?”

“Adam, for friends I am just Shak or Shaki” – She smiled.

“But I like Shakira more” – said Adam.

Shakira suddenly noticed how handsome he is, hot, perfect body…Oh God, what is she thinking? Did she forget that Adam is an idiot.

“Shakira?” – Shakira came back to earth when his ‘love’ said her name.

“Yeah…Well, just…I…let’s take walk…”

“Let’s better go eat something” – Adam smiled even wider.

What a beautiful…what does she think?

“Do you like seafood?” – Shakira asked, all of a sudden.

After thinking a bit, Adam said:

“No, not too much. Let’s eat pizza. It’s better. I know an amazing restaurant on the beach.

Suddenly Shakira laughed

“What?”—Adam asked, confused, not understanding why she was laughing.

“Will you throw me into the water again?”

Adam laughed “How did you know?”

Laughing and talking, they walked towards the beach, the pizza, and the new adventures.

Shakira laughed her heart out. It seemed to her that at his jokes she could laugh forever.

They sat in the restaurant, talking. Taking a bite of the pizza Shakira stopped for a moment, and then said:

“You know Adam, these two evenings have been so memorable to me”

She noticed how Adam looked down sheepishly. That made her laugh, and, for being unnoticeable, she covered her mouth with her hands, and started laughing under her breath.

“Are you feeling bad, Shaki?”

That made Shakira laugh even more, she could not hold back her laughter anymore. She laughed so much that her stomach started hurting. But Adam only looked down, pouted, just like a child. That made Shakira laugh even more.

“Hey! Why are you laughing? Am I that funny?”  -- He asked, confused, with wide eyes.

Suddenly Shakira got serious again. Something happened, and none of them really understood what was tat. For a minute their eyes connected. Oh gosh, she wants to take him and…kiss him? Again this sh*t on her mind.

Adam stood up, and started walking to the door. For one second, it seemed to Shakira that Adam was offended and decided to go, so she ran after him, like a crazy. All of a sudden Adam stopped on a wooden porch, so did she.

No one of them spoke, they just looked out, still feeling mentally connected to each other. Their heart beats raised, feeling butterflies in their stomachs, they just stood in an uncomfortable silence. Suddenly Adam broke it:

“I love to watch the sunsets” – He said, quietly, “They are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we are looking through the gates of Heaven”

Shakira turned her gaze to the sky. He was right; they make forget all the things that they carry in their life. They are just like miracles; they make the life seem so much easier.

 Turning her head Shakira met Adam’s breath, which was closer, then ever. They rested their forehead’s on each other’s one. Their eyes connected. They felt too close to each other, but yet too far.

Adam... and he moved up the last half inch so their lips could touch. Softly. Lovingly. They breathed their souls and their love into each other in that kiss. That kiss; hard, but soft; fiery but cool; a split second but also forever. In that one kiss, She then knew what was behind that quirky smile, and it made her love for him grow even more...
