"I can't even deal with you anymore!"
Mr Hale shouted. "Your stupid paranoia! Jealousy." She stopped him.
"Jealousy! Well I wonder why I would be jealous. Couldn't possibly be the myriad of women you whore around with!" Talia screamed.
"What women?! The only woman I'm with is your crazy ass. And I'm seriously reconsidering that decision." He stared her down. Nostrils flaring.
"Then leave. Oh but wait...who will you leech off of? Remind me what you do again?" Talia asked sarcastically.
"Always throwing that back in my face! Guess what, honey...You're broke too! You have nothing! It's all daddy's money." He said condescendingly.
"Oh here we go!" Talia groaned frustrated.

While they argued in the living room, Stiles tried to block out the screaming. Theo playing with a lighter on his bed.
"You know, I saw one time on
Animal Planet that mother hamsters will kill their own babies if they're sick or injured to spear them further suffering later on." Theo said casually.
"Charming." Stiles said disgusted.
"You just don't know what a good conversation topic is." Theo scoffed.
"And stop playing with that damn lighter. You're gonna set something on fire." Stiles scolded as he picked at his pajamas. Theo rolled his eyes.
"Fine. You sound like mom." Theo said and snap it shut. Tucking it in a drawer of the bedside table.
"Whatever, delinquent." Stiles chuckled. His pet name for Theo.
His brother. His best friend.
Someone who scared him.

The bell rang.
"Did you get any of what Ms Morell said or were you too busy staring into space?" Scott teased.
"I blanked out?" Stiles asked standing.
"Big time!" Scott chuckled.
"Damn." Stiles swore as he made his way out. "Hey, Scott? What do you think of the new guy? Theo."
"I don't know. He seems cool enough. Why? Don't you like him?"
Scott asked.
"It's not that. Just a weird feeling." Stiles went to his locker. Tried to focus on his next class. Instead of the nagging feeling at the back of his mind.
Economics. Not his favorite class but it was a needed distraction.
Theo was there.
History.
Theo was there.
The freaking bathroom. Theo peed right along side him. Making small talk.
It could be coincidence or Theo was stalking Stiles. Either way...Something wasn't right here.
Naturally Scott invited the guy to sit with them at lunch.

"Hey, guys. How's everyone doing?" Theo asked as he sat down.
"Great but I'm more interested in hearing about you." Kira said.
"Not much to tell. I'm adopted. My parents died in a tragic accident.
That's how I ended up living with the Raekens. We originally lived in Boston but my father wanted a quiet life so we moved here. And I love animals." Theo said smiling warmly. The girls cooed, Scott pulled Malia close to make a point. Stiles' red flags was way the hell up. While everyone else was introducing themselves and getting to know Theo better...Stiles was sitting there wondering...where the hell do I know you from?
Then something he said shed new light on the situation.
"Fun fact: Mother hamsters will often kill their own babies if they're sick to spare them suffering. Isn't that neat?" Theo asked smiling. Making the others a tad uncomfortable.
"What'd you say?" Stiles asked, finally paying attention.
"Nothing worth repeating." Theo said.
"I'm sorry about him. He can be a real space cadet sometimes." Scott laughed. Theo said it was okay and they moved on.
But after school it just got...weirder.

"Hey Stiles. How's it going?" Theo asked with a smile.
"I don't know who you are or what you want but there is something not right about you. And I'm gonna find out what." Stiles proclaimed.
"You don't like me? That's too bad. I hope we can be friends...Stiles." Theo said placing his hand on his shoulder.
"No chance." Stiles pulled away.
"That's okay. You'll come around. You always do." With that cryptic tidbit, Theo jumped in his car and drove off.
"What the hell does he mean, always?
And what the hell was that thing with the rats?" Stiles asked. Then stopped when he realized he was in an empty parking lot, talking to himself.
His monologues about mysterious Theo would have to wait until he got home.
