Rain Drops
Falling at night
Thunder and lightning
Making a frightDrops Dripping
Down my window
Trapped in my thoughts
Wondering how far they'll goThat soothing sound
Of water on my window pain
Wishing there was sin
Could I stand the rainLaying in my bed
Hearing all the noise
Hoping it will stop
Will God hear my voice? It's been your Neighborhood black girl
And the only thing keeping me sane
Is when I lay down at night
And listen to the rain
