Cried that one cold lady

On that day, when Ezio saw her on the across side of the street look him right in the eyes as his hand rose up in an attempt to somehow stop her from running away from that horrid scene, he grew up. However, it took a great deal of regret and pain as he felt his hand burn every time he placed it on another's hip while she was still there for him.

But he grew up. He's learned to cherish the imperfect. The beautiful. The powerful in every woman.

He knows now what he has to do, right?

Narcissism and confidence are traits that still remain. He's still merely a boy that just craves attention that he oh-so-desperately felt he needed. But he's the only person who still doesn't notice that. While the world around him twists and turns, Ezio stands still looking at her.

She's all gone now, though. Ezio's sad that another has noticed how good, how caring she is. How she worries for him. When people ask about her, she's waiting for him to come home and he can't be prouder. Another man spotted her gentleness and the softness of her touch as she placed a hand on his cheek. He raised her back from the grave that Ezio put her in deep, deep underground, woke her up and shook her awake and fully conscious -- she's finally opened her eyes. And that's why she's never coming back. Another is now cherishing her stone cold, but mended exterior that will never quite be what it was before.

I would do it so much better, Ezio still thinks.

But she's never coming back.

She's moved on and away from there.

How many years has it been?

What time is it even?

The digital clock at his bedside table shines bright red and blurry numbers he can't quite see. Ezio sits up in his bed and looks outside the window. It's raining. His thoughts finally wrap up as he listens to small raindrops thumping softly against the glass. A thought of going to work, or even outside is making him groan in annoyance.

Even still, he reaches for his phone and gets ready to start another monotone day. A voice reaches his thoughts. It's all in his head. He has no new messages.

You lost the woman who lost everything just to be with you.

It's his best friend. The one who he refused to listen when it was due and now all that's left is just a voice message from months ago.

''Bullshit,'' Ezio whispers. ''Bullshit! All of this!''

You meet the right woman only once. The purest kind. The kind we all dream of. But there's a catch. You can lose her only once too. And man does it hurt. It hurts like a bitch. But I bet you know.

The phone goes smashing into the wall, screen cracking up in the process. However, it still works.

Actually, you don't have to know. Time will show you how it feels.
