A Special Day

Chapter II : The Beginning

November 14, 2017; 4:30 pm

Finally, band practice has ended. I pack up my stuff from the cue of Mr. Beck's "See you guys tomorrow and bye." 

I grab my backpack and go outside to find the white 2017 Dodge Durango sitting in the parking spot with my dad sitting in the front. I get in the car and dad says, "How was practice?"

"Good" I reply.

I open up my Instagram and change my bio to single and take off the previous anniversary I had put up from Lily. I start looking through the Instagram stories put up from everyone and pass one that says "Single or Taken?" I come back to that one. I look at the top and it says "Ahorton5402" I hesitate. I push single. 

I turn off my phone and stare outside at the view I was getting of the forest coming home from Clay High. 

Buzz. I get a notification from Instagram. I look at my phone. "{gavinbattigmusic} Ahorton5402: 'welcome to the club lol'" My eyes widen because she replied to me. I open my phone and start to talk to her.

"I just got dumped today lol." I replied.

"Same." Alexis said.

We talked and talked for about 2 hours.

"I have a question" Alexis told me.

"Yes?" I replied.

"Where do you put your Sarahahs?" She asked.

"Idk, I don't usually do anything with them." I say.

"Okay" she told me.

Minutes passed. I go in curiosity to look at my messages in Sarahah and... there's three messages? 

Those three messages were: 

"I think you're really cute"

"I like you but idk if you like me"

"I'm really going to miss you when you leave"

"Aw" I said in my mind, "Those must be her"

I went back to Instagram, "Alexis?" I said.

"Yes?" she said.

"Were those Sarahahs from you?" 

"... yeah..." Alexis said hesitantly. I could tell at that moment she was very nervous.

"Hey... Don't worry... I like you too..." I said also very hesitant. 

"Really??" Alexis replied to me, I could just see her face glow when she saw it.

"Yes" I say to her, "Can I ask you something?" 

"Yeah"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
