hoseok doesn't meet yoongi the day after that. or the day after the day after that. or the following days after.
he spends his days teaching his students, dancing in polished floors and mirrored rooms. it's a summer job of sorts, and he gets good money for it. he's almost never in his house – leaves his flat early and goes home late, immediately crashing into his bed in exhaustion.
dust bunnies are accumulating in every corner of his flat and he can't be bothered to clean them. his outdoor plants are probably parched already. he could've sworn he saw a crisp yellow leaf fall from his hibiscus plant along with a few of the flowers curling up in defeat.
he tuts worriedly when he steps outside the house and finds a hibiscus flower with its petals browning. "promise i'll water you all up when i get home," he says, rubbing its petal with his thumb and forefinger.
he comes home that day and sees droplets of water sitting innocently on the leaves of his outdoor plants. someone watered them while he was gone. he couldn't believe his eyes. who?
then, he senses someone watching him. he glances at the neighbour's window and sees a mop of silver hair but it's gone as quickly as it appeared.
ever since then, he comes home to his plants wet and sated. the colors of his hibiscus flowers are slowly returning until they're as vibrant as ever, and hoseok can't be more grateful for yoongi for saving his plants. so, every morning without fail, when he leaves for work, he drops a small basketful of macarons by yoongi's doorstep. this happens for days.
however, yoongi might've thought he doesn't deserve the macarons for merely watering his plants, because not only hoseok comes home to his plants happy, but there's also a can of carbonated strawberry milk waiting for him by his doorstep too.
