The New Kid

"Chance,stop! Can you please just let me watch the movie?" I whispered as 'The Avengers' was projected onto the big screen in front of me.

"Oh,come on babe one kiss." He replied,his dark brown eyes staring right into mine. I don't know how much longer I could resist. I mean,the movie was great but he's just so damn adorable.

"Chance,I didn't come and waste 7 dollars to sit here and make out with you! " I snapped,a little louder than Intended...as others around us blankly stared.

"haha" he laughed this playful laugh-my weakness.

"what?" I asked,a huge smile on my face. I hated how quickly he could change my attitude.

"Did you really think I brought you here to actually watch the movie? This was just what happened to get you to go to my house...cause ya know,my parents aren't home."

"Excuse me?" i couldn't believe he'd say that to my face.

"You heard me." he said with a cocky look.

"You're kidding me right?," I answered,grabbing my purse. "I'm leaving." I said as I Stomped out of the big doors out into the dark hallway of the theatre.

"Meg,wait!" it was Chance. I couldn't turn around,I couldn't keep giving him these second chances. "Meg!" I felt someone grab my arm and spin me around so that I was now at eye level with the prettiest brown eyes I've ever seen.

"What." I demanded.

"...I love you" I had no clue how to respond to this. Here I was 2 seconds away from breaking up with this kid and he thinks it's a good time to throw that out there? He didn't feel that way. And I knew it. And even if he did he never acted like it. He was a complete jerk. I'm not sure how I even lasted 8 months with this douche bag.

"I...um...have to go."

"Megan, did you not hear what I just said? I told you i loved you."

"I heard what you said. But you didn't mean it,and You & I both know that! You're a complete jerk and I don't even know why I ever liked you!" I could feel it,tears. Tears of sadness or anger? I'm not sure but, Why? I wanted for him to finally hear this..but i guess it still hurt.

"Are you breaking up with me?" he brought out his puppy dog eyes,the ones he knew I couldn't resist.

I looked down at my shoes and slowly looked back up ready to explode,"Yes someone finally has the guts to break up with the one and only Chance Turner! The rich,popular,jock of the school! You really are horrible! I feel sorry for any future girlfriend you have because they're about to step into a world of hate! I honestly hope I never see you again!!" there,I did it,it was all said & done. I couldn't take it back now.

"What? You're breaking up with me? You can't do this to me.." a sad tone in his voice.

I started to give in.....But finally I swallowed hard and let it out. " yes,yes I am." I said calmly as I got as close as I could to his face without actually touching him. and whispered,"Have a good life douche. Don't count on me to be in it."

I was out of the theatre now. Having no clue what to do. He drove me here,and I had now way to get home. So I quickly rummaged through my bag to find my phone.

"Talk to me." This made me laugh a little. It was Kyle,my best guy friend since...well,forever. He was practically my brother. He was the only guy who really understood me.

"Um...hey...can you come get me? I'm at the movies." Trying to hold back the fact that I was crying. All tears of anger I finally figured out,but I still couldn't let him know it. He'd go into crazy-older-brother mode.

"Oh yeah,sure."

After what seemed like forever Kyle's huge red truck finally drove up. I hopped in the car and immediately saw the worry in his eyes.

"Don't ask,just take me home...please. "
