18. Back

Baekhyun is sitting next to Chanyeol's bed, sleeping on his own palm, when suddenly he feels something hit his head.

He lifts his head and realize that Chanyeol is awake.

"Chanyeol!" Baekhyun quickly hug him tight.

"Hyung.." Chanyeol whispers silently. "What happened?"

"Didn't you remember?" Baekhyun let go of the hug and see him directly in the eyes.

"Not really.."

Baekhyun stares at him before realize something, "I have to call for the doctor to check you up first." He press the button next to Chanyeol's bed.

1 minute later, the doctor come in with both of his parents behind him.

"Chanyeol!"

Both of their parents feel relieved because of Chanyeol's condition. The doctor said that he is okay now. But they need to take care of the serious burn.

The doctor finally came out and left them alone. "How did he treat you?" The only woman in the room asked.

"He treat me nice, actually. But I guess that just to get my insurance, eomma." He sighs.

All of them keep silent until his dad smile and pat his back, "It's okay, Chanyeol. You have us, remember?"

Chanyeol smiles, "I couldn't ask more if I'm with you guys."

They hum an 'aww' before hug each other.

Suddenly Chanyeol remember something he wanted to ask. "I wanna ask something."

"What is it, dear?"

Chanyeol looks down, "Was it right.. That the Byuns have ruined the Park company back then?"

They all seems shock, before Mr. Byun clears his throat "It was right."

Chanyeol looks at him, before looking to now his mom and his hyung.

"But it was a long, long time ago. It was my grandfather who did that. He is a stubborn and selfish guy I ever met. He did ruin your family's company. But after what he did, his son, which is my father, helped your family to rebuild what my grandfather has wrecked."

"And now you understand why we take care of you, right, Chanyeol?"

"Because you want to pay after what your grandfather did to us.." Chanyeol sighs.

"Indeed. But as time passed by, it wasn't just a pay thing. We consider you as our own son."

Without realizing, Chanyeol let out his tears. He's relieved that he didn't believe his dad about the Byuns. He's so blessed to have a family like them.

"Thank you." Chanyeol looks down, tears still rolling down his cheeks.

They all smile before hug the youngest person in the room.

Baekhyun silently smiles when he see Chanyeol in the kitchen, cooking something.

"Good morning."

Chanyeol turns around, give him a smile, "Morning, hyung."

"Where's eomma and appa?" Baekhyun asks while sitting on the counter.

"They left already." Chanyeol says.

Then Baekhyun remember that both of their parents have something to handle in Busan for a few weeks.

Silent fill the room before Baekhyun brake the ice, "I'm glad you're back."
