Chapter 1

Past Transgressions

Before the Dawn of Time and all of Creation, there was nothing but Darkness. This fragment of time was known as the Black Era. During this time, a great battle took place between the origin of evil, Khaos, and our God. As time passed, the knowledge of how this battle started and how God and Khaos came to be was lost throughout the ages. This lost knowledge was the key to changing the fate of the universe.

For over a thousand years, these two Gods fought, battling to the breaking point repeatedly, yet never wavering nor faltering. Khaos, however, was growing ever closer to victory. With God on the brink of defeat at the hands of Khaos, He closed his eyes and saw inside Himself a hidden power that came forth as Light.

It was at this moment that God opened his eyes, held out his hand, and announced, "Let There Be Light." A burst of light shot out of his hand and struck Khaos, forcing her back; Khaos, however, was not to be fazed by such an attack. It was then that God lifted both hands, and with all of His might, He proclaimed, "LET THERE BE LIGHT!" At these words, God began to glow, and a burst of light erupted around Him, illuminating everything in its path. The burst of light pummeled Khaos, and she saw this as her end. Khaos held her hand over herself and, splitting her soul five ways, scattered the fragments across the universe. Having seen what Khaos had done, God decided to spare the scattered pieces of Khaos's soul.

Once the blast of light died back down, darkness began to return. At this moment, God held out his hand and used the power of Light to create the first star. It was small and dim, but God felt the warmth from the newborn star; it was shining larger and more luminous from its inner light. God then created numerous stars to illuminate the universe continuously. Upon God's creation of the first star, the universe entered the Era of Light.

It was through the creation of stars that God used the Light to create the kingdom of Heaven. The massive kingdom stretched farther than the eye could see. God then decided to use the power of light to make life in the form of his first child, whom He named Michael. He then created eight more children, naming them Jesus, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Selaphine, Raguel, Barachiel, and Lucifer.

These nine creations of life were the first Angels, and amongst the Heavenly Host became Archangels. Through God's teachings, they used the power of Light to create more angels to fill Heaven. God did not wish to stop with Heaven. He used the Light to form hundreds upon thousands of worlds and billions upon trillions of lifeforms to inhabit those worlds. God then created a planet of wondrous design that we know as "Earth." For this was the planet where God would place his most incredible creation, humans, made in His own image. Everyone was excited to see God create the first humans: Adam and Eve. However, the Darkness still lived. It never forgets, and it never forgives...

One night, there was a massive party celebrating the creation of both Adam and Eve, but not everyone was happy about this.

"Lucifer, my brother, why are you in here alone?" Michael asked.

"I don't understand why you all are so happy about this. These monkeys' Father wants us to love and bow down to are weak. They are imperfect and will abuse their power of free will to revoke our Father." Lucifer replied.

Michael sighed in exasperation. "Lucifer, that is far from the truth. Humanity is capable of great things. This I promise you."

"Just like you promised Father to keep Heaven safe from anything?" Lucifer retorted mockingly.

Anger crept into Michael's voice. "That's different, Lucifer, and you know that."
