Lance Just Being Lance

Lance's POV

   It's as if... He was sent from heaven. I sit on the couch, so soft it's almost consuming me. So I got a taste for the finer things in life. Like hamburgers. But... Keith... The name keeps hitting me, knocking the air out of me and making my heart beat as if it's in some wild exercise session.  Ughhh, why can't I stop thinking about him!? It's not like I'm gay! I shake my head and flop into a comforter equally soft as the couch. I get up again and get my jacket. "That's it! I'm going out!" I slam the door and relax immediately. I love being outside... I barely take 5 steps and I bump into somebody. He stumbles a bit, caught off guard, while I sit on the ground, having been completely knocked over. I look up to apologize. "Sorry, I didn't see ya th-" I stop mid-sentence. "Oh uh... Hi Lance." He holds his hand out to help me up. I refuse. I get up and smile."Hi Kieth!" I say a little brighter than wanted. He just chuckles. Ahh, so cute. I melt for a minute. Wait, no no no. Don't get all gay on me. Then I clear my throat. "Well, I better get going." A slight blush forms on his cheeks. "Oh, well maybe you'd like to join me for a quick bite to eat?" His blush deepens. "I- uh... um.." He stutters a bit. "You know what? Yeah. Yeah, I'd love to." I chuckle very softly. "Any place of your choice. It's on me." He just stares wide-eyed for a second."Oh.. Uh... There is this one place I know... Right around the corner actually. It's small, but that's part of the charm." He leads me there and it's a nice, chatty walk before we arrive. Well I had nothing else planned. And I smile, knowing that this man... He's something else.
