Keith's POV
I look at Lance, trying to watch his features, examine him. He has a look of determination, and it's really cute.
What is he determined to do?
He lays back in his chair and sighs. "So this'll be on me. Because I obviously have more money than you."
I snap up. Mood ruined.
"What?" I try to stay calm.
"Well, you work in that little cafe~" Lance smirks and I clench my fist.
"Oh yeah? And what do YOU do for a living?"
Lance's eyes go big and he covers his laugh. It's unfair for friggin cute it is.
"I'm a youtuber, actually. SharpShooter. You'll have to look me up. I'm pretty popular~"
I smirk. "Oh yeah? That sounds pretty nice. Weird I've never heard of you."
He turns a bright red suddenly and looks away.
"You wanna fight buddy?"
I'm taken aback.
"Pardon? I'm not sure I uh... Understand."
"Come on, look at you. You're challenging me. Look at that smirk."
His eyes narrow. Maybe this wasn't the best idea.
Why would I want to fight him? I'm not even sure I could, he's too beautiful, I don't wanna ruin his pretty face.
He's kinda an asshole though. Yeah okay, I'll fight.
"Sure, I'll fight. When, where, and how hard?"
Just when I thought he couldn't get any redder, he lays his head down on the table and you can basically see red light coming from his face.
He mumbles under his breath something about the wanting the waitor to come back.
"Didn't think you'd agree and um... That is not what context you use that in."
I blinked and smiled at him.
"Then what context do you use it in?"
He slammed his hands on the table as the waitor came conveniently timed, startling them both.
"Hello, hi, we're ready to order."
As we give our orders to the waitor, Lance figited with his fingers.
The waitor leaves and we're in silence.
Suddenly, he speaks.
"Sorry. About trying to fight you. I just get worked up sometimes."
He surprises me once again. I smile and laugh it off.
"No worries. People think I look pretty intimidating with how I dress, so I'm used to it."
He sighs in relief.
"So what are some of your hobbies, Keith?"
I realize that's the first time he says my name. It comes out smooth, dripping like honey on a warm day.
"I, uh, I like k n i v e s."
I nearly slap myself.
That's not only not a hobby, it's dangerous and he might think I'm some kind of creep!
"Oh? I'm more of a gun man myself, but you make do when you play games."
He smiles so warmly, it's like he's completely different than just a few minutes ago.
"Oh, you're a gaming channel? That makes that way more interesting I was scared your channel was actually gonna be boring."
Lance acts like he takes offense to that.
"Me? Boring? You're in for a treat everytime I speak!"
We both laugh at that, but for different reasons.
He has no idea how true that is.
