Amaya walks into the kitchen seeing a shirtless and tired Uriah looking into the fridge with confusion written on his face. "Uriah? what are you doing?" asks Amaya. "I'm hungry but all I can see are vegan products" mumbles the boy frustrated.

"We could make pancakes mom's a vegan but she still buys things for me" she suggests lightly smiling up at him. "Pancakes but with nutella" says the boy. "Great get the ingredients while I brush my teeth and after that I'd advice you to put on a shirt my friend's coming over" she leaves the room brushing her teeth in the bathroom.

Minutes later she walks into the kitchen seeing Uriah going through her phone. "Excuse me? Haven't you heard of privacy?"
she snatches her phone out of his hand. "Sorry I was just trying to play some music"
mumbles the boy raising both of his hands defensive while the girl rolled her eyes.

"Don't be mad at me" pounds the boy putting some flour on the tip of her nose. "I'll play music now let's start" she puts her playlist on shuffle smiling once she hears 'God's plan' by drake echoing through the house. Mixing up the ingredients while Uriah sprays the pan with Pam. He drops some Chocolate chips into the batter smiling at the girl who was mixing it.

"Your lock screen was that your boyfriend?" asks Uriah already putting batter on the pan. Smiling at the thought of Daniel she nodded her head slowly blushing lightly. Uriah nods grabbing Nutella from the pantry. He looks at the girl smiling but raises his eyebrow as he hears the doorbell.

"I'll get it just watch the food" says the girl wiping her hand with her mom's apron. Opening the door she sees Esmeralda who engulfed her into a comfortable hug. "Pancakes?" asks the girl walking into the kitchen. She stops in her tracks one's she sees the shirtless boy in the kitchen.

"Esmeralda this is Uriah a family friend and Uriah this is Esmeralda" introduces the girl. "Hey nice to meet you" welcomes the boy. "Yeah nice to meet you too" she replies. "We'll be in the living room" Amaya wraps the apron she wore around Uhriah's body.

"Do you want something to drinks or so?"
"No thanks I'm good I came to talk" she said wetting her lips before she looked at her best friend who was still confused.

"When you told me that Daniel asked you out I was jealous. After all we were talking at his Halloween party and he seemed into me and trust me I was really into him" she pauses as she sees Amaya shifting on her white couch trying to get comfortable.

"Daniel even asked me for my number and we talked until he asked me where to take you out on a date. That's when all the behaving and being weird started. You always talked about him how sweet and nice he is. How he treats you and cares about you and I didn't know what to think. My mom's married to an English man. I don't know what love feels like all I see is my mom being a gold digger and having a stepfather who doesn't love you hurts"

"my boyfriend" interrupts Amaya looking at her friend in shock. Esmeralda stands up looking at her friend with tears stained cheeks crossing her arms in annoyance.

"Amaya the both of us know that and because I love you I'd never take what's yours. He's your boyfriend and I respect that but I came here to tell you everything what's on my mind" she takes her bag and leaves the house crying.

"That girl knows how to overreact shit" mumbles Uriah handing Amaya pancakes.
"You don't believe her right?" asks the boy. "I don't know she's my best friend more like a sister to be honest" replies Amaya. Shrugging Uriah walks into the kitchen but stops and turns around.

"She's lying she still likes your boyfriend" mumbles Uriah behind Amaya. She turns around looking into his bluish eyes. "Esmeralda would never lie to me" says the girl avoiding eye contact. He chuckes.

"Trust me she's a snake I know girls like her but that's my opinion just be careful you seem happy and i prefer a happy Amaya to a sad and dipressed one" he walks into the kitchen leaving the girl frustrated in the living room
