Both teens were now walking down the streets of Gotham. Tessa seems perfectly calm but Ren seems disturbed.

"This... is where normal humans live?"

Tessa only hummed in response and stopped to stare at a park. Memories came back to her in a sudden rush.

He was nine years old and Tessa took him to the park that day to cheer him up. Wasn't even a whole year since the... accident. And Bruce was away on 'business'. So here she was. She was fourteen at this time and Dick still hasn't figured out what she is and who Bruce is. Granted its only been a few months.

Right now she had her hands shoved in her blue jeans pockets and was watching Dick expertly navigate the jungle gym. And when he got to the bars... its like he flew.

All the kids and parents turned to stare, giving the young boy strange looks as he dismounted in a graceful flip. But he didn't mind them as his new 'big sister' came up and ruffled his hair.

"Well done little bird."

"...hey Ren?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you sure you don't want contacts?"

All the people who were walking by gave him wary looks when they saw his black eyes. When Tessa lived here it used to be her who would get strange looks so Bruce eventually got her contacts to cover up her violet eyes.

People had to have seen her eyes... but it seems black is weirder than violet.

"Nah its okay. If they don't like it they can just look away. Besides we're almost there... right? I mean... whoa."

Ren didn't even realize they were walking uphill. He was focused on wondering why people live here!

Now, they were standing in front of a big gate and beyond that, a huge manor.

"Okay... this is like the only decent thing I have seen here all day. Whose house is this?"

Tessa smirked at him and walked up to a keypad that was on the stone fence, right next to the gate.

"Mine." she said as she practically heard his jaw drop to the floor.

She quickly typed in a passcode:

RGTWBW

And the gate immediately swung open.

Tessa turned back to her partner, still smirking and gestured a hand forward.

"After you..."

Speechless, the boy walks forward with Tessa right behind him.

At the door she doesn't knock or ring the doorbell, instead she hits another button that revealed a hidden speaker.

Tessa cleared her throat and began to speak, just a little nervously.

"Voice recognition: Tessa Wayne."

"Voice recognized. Access granted. Welcome: Tessa Wayne."

The girl let out a sigh of relief and opened the door, leading her still dazed partner inside.

Ren whistled as he looked around but Tessa was already started up a flight of stairs.

"Geez... hey! Wait up!"

The girl stopped at the first door on the left and slowly turned the handle, revealing what must be her room.

Nothing much. A fireplace, big bed, desk and computer, bookshelves, and just the normal things for a teen's  bedroom. Like a flatscreen TV. But Tessa only went over to the desk.
