Chapter 5

Bold font with " are video people talking.

Tessa sprang to her feet as the video showed a guy in black kevlar with a domino mask and some type of blue bird insignia on his chest.

Everyone of Young Justice was confused, no one's seen this guy before but he was obviously at the Mountain. As for Teen Titans... well they only know this guy through what Starfire told them.

"Nice suit..." said both Robins at the same time.

The man with the blue insignia seemed to be looking at something important on a computer when a Robin came on the scene.

"Wait what?! That's not me!" exclaimed YJ Robin.

"So Nightwing how's it going?"

The man turned to face the new Robin with a grin, the emblem on his chest now fully visible. The insignia made both Robins gasp.

That bird... it's just like the emblem we used to use at the circus for our act!

"It should finish processing in a few minutes..."

The new Robin nodded but his smile faded. He started speaking in merely a whisper. 

"You know they miss you... the Titans..."

The older man tensed and grimaced.

"They miss Beast Boy too... Especially Cy. He keeps trying to get me to play video games with him but... I don't think it's the same for him without Gar."

Beast Boy cringed at the mention of his real name before he noticed what was wrong with this picture...

"Wait why am I there?! And why are YOU?" Beast Boy points a dramatic finger at Titan Robin while he looks at the Nightwing projection and says "I don't know..."

Meanwhile the YJ Robin is trying to ignore the amazed looks pointed at him from his team and the concerned ones pointed at the projected Robin from Bruce and Alfred.

"That Robin isn't me... but that other guy..." whispered YJ Robin. Wally slung an arm around him.

"Okay dude if that 'Mystery Guy' is you in the future than that is totally awesome!"

"I know Robin and I miss them too. But these guys were my first team and they needed me. The Titans will be fine without me for a bit. Besides I know they're in good hands with Kori."

"Who?" asked Beast Boy and all the Titans, minus Starfire, looked confused but Starfire mearly blushed. She hasn't told the Titans her real name yet...

"Yes but... they're also asking why Blue went with you. I mean he's got to be the newest one--" started Future Robin.

"Blue Beetle asked to come. So I let him. And you know why Beast Boy came, he wanted to see the original Young Justice team again."

"I wanted to do what now?" shouted Beast Boy.

"Shh!" hissed Raven.

He shut up.

The screen cleared and a message popped up saying "Access granted"

The man turned back to the screen.

"Access for what? Nightwing?" said the Robin, somewhat nervously.

Instead of answering him Nightwing simply pressed a button and video feed came up. And so did a chilling, crazy laughter. 

Everyone gasped. Justice or Titan, they know who that is.

And Batman, the Robins, and Alfred were the least pleased to see him make an appearance. 

"Uh Dick? Why?"

The YJ Robin gulps. That clinches it then. 

I'm still going to be super awesome in the future!

"No names. And I need to keep tabs on him. Along with everything else..."

Nightwing leans back in the chair and pinches the bridge of his nose.

It's obvious he hasn't been able to get much sleep lately. If any at all.

The Robin puts a hand on his shoulder. 

"Nightwing... you don't have to handle everything on your own."

Nightwing shakes his head and sighs.

"Yes I do. I need to take care of Bludhaven and not to mention Gotham and Wayne Industries. The team's training and missions. School and work. Add to that the problem with the Light and the Reach. And... you."

Nightwing flips through many different cameras that showed different rooms of the Mountain until one came into focus. What looked like a memorial room. Holograms.

The Robin sighed as he looked at the camera.

Everyone's eyes widened. There was a hologram memorial of Robin. But an obviously different one.

Nightwing sighed and turned to Robin.

"I don't want what happened to Jason to happen to you. I know Robins are awesome but I don't think Bats needs to go looking for a fourth one just yet."

Nightwing smirks and Robin playfully punches his shoulder.

"Wing that's not going to happen unless I take up a new name. Which I probably will eventually. Besides it was originally your name. In more ways than one... Dickie-bird."

Nightwing shoves him a bit at the nickname but Robin only laughs.

"I am serious though. First my parents. My uncle. Then Jay. And now Batman's off world and who knows when he'll return. I don't need another brother leaving me. And who knows how the team's going to be when this is over..."

He whispers that last part but he is still heard perfectly clear.

"What?"

Nightwing actually looks flustered.

"I mean... with the whole Light and Reach thing going on. The stress will probably mess with their heads for a few days!"

Robin looks unsure but nods as the video fades to black.

Tessa looked at Ren. The orb was mentioning the Titans but the actual orb for the Titans made no move. 

Both sigh and Ren pulls out the other orb. 

Not even a glimmer between the two. 

Ren groans.

Why did I ever even try to be thoughtful in the first place...

Tessa pulls the orb down.

She whispers something to the orb then jerks back surprised and then scowls at it while Ren snickers.

"Okay..." she said, glaring at the orb.

"We're taking a break now."
